Cold Fusion Race Heating Up?

 by

Here's one that is happening almost as fast as the predictions that it would happen.

The Cold Fusion Race Just Heated Up

Now there's a hugely important point to notice in this article, and that is that the Russians have apparently successfully duplicated Dr. Andrea Rossi's cold fusion E-CAT reactor, and though the results are more modest than his claims, nonetheless with significant results. Referencing the report of the Universities of Uppsala and Bologna last year, and their conclusion that Rossi's device is indeed producing low energy nuclear reactions, the so-called Lugano Report, about which we blogged last year, and about which there has been considerable controversy, the article notes,
"The report was promptly savaged by sceptics, pointing out that Rossi was present for the test and questioning how independent it was. Steven B. Krivit, editor of New Energy Times, headlined his account  "Rossi Handles Samples in Alleged Independent Test of His Device".
"The arguments about the Lugano Report continue, meanwhile there has been an even more surprising development. Prof Alexander Parkhomov of Lomonosov Moscow State University has published a paper describing his successful replication of the E-Cat, based on the available information about it. The paper is in Russian; there is a link and commentary and video in English on E-Cat World. Parkhomov's results are more modest, but the energy output of his cloned E-Cat claimed to be up to 2.74 times as great as the input.
"Parkhomov presented his results earlier this week at a cold fusion seminar at the Research Institute for Nuclear Power Plant Operation in Moscow."
In other words, the Russians are in the cold fusion game and in a major way, and given the context of this week's "space focus" in our blogs, this again provides an interesting context on just what appears to be going on. The pattern we have seen in the past few months of last year, and continuing into this year and perhaps - depending on one's perceptions - even intensifying, is (1) there seems to be a push underway to give attention to stories involving space, and in particular revelations or talk of some cutting edge technology in that respect, and (2) there is also, at the same time, a push underway to give attention to stories involving alternative energy technologies, in this case, Rossi's E-CAT cold fusion reactor (or, let us recall, Lockheed-Martin's curious cold-fusion story that was disclosed mere days after the release of the Lugano Report, a story that, you'll recall, pictured a device looking suspiciously like Philo Farnsworth's plasmator and fusor patents of the 1960s). In the context of the second aspect of this pattern, you'll recall that last year also saw the announcement that the Rockefeller Foundations were divesting themselves of petroleum securities in their portfolios.
Even more curious in this article is its mention of yet another strange conspiracy theory in connection to cold fusion:
"None of this is likely to bother sceptics in the global energy market, though there are signs of panic among conspiracy theorists. Russian media has repeated a rumour that President Obama discussed Chinese E-Cat production under licence with Xi Jinping in his recent visit, a move that might destroy Russia's vital energy exports." (Emphasis added)
Given the rather close connection between "Russian media" and the Russian government itself, one wonders just how reliable the rumor is. But let's assume, for the sake of argument, that the rumor is true. President Obama would not be in any position to offer a license to Xi Jinping or the Chinese government for the E-Cat process. It is not his process to offer, and, as the article indicates, Parkhamov's process is already open. So what might the truth, if any, be behind the rumor? Again, for the sake of argument, for Obama to offer any such thing to the Chinese would, on the face of it, make no geopolitical sense, since his administration is "pivoting to the Pacific" precisely to counteract growing Chinese power and influence in the region. But again, assume for the sake of argument that the rumor is true and that he made some sort of cold fusion offer to the Chinese government. He could only offer what the USA has some degree of control over, and that brings to mind once again the Lockheed-Martin cold fusion claims that appeared shortly after the Lugano Report's release.
Whether true or not (and I am strongly inclined to believe it isn't) the rumor nevertheless suggests - when added to the Rockefeller announcement of last year, and the emerging strange pattern of space-and-alternative-energy technology stories that seem to be on the uptake - that one thing that we are perhaps looking at is a new geopolitical game emerging, one involving space, its commercialization, and technologies that are, for the moment, and in the public venue at least, still the stuff of science fiction. But I strongly suspect, like the article itself indicates, that we're going to see not only more E-CAT stories this year, but also that we will see that pattern dramatically expand. When and if if does, we'll have more dots to connect.

Germans Take Another Step Toward Teleportation in Conjunction with 3-D Printing

The question posed at the end of the article is the frightening one.  If this is what they are telling the public about now, what have they already developed and likely been using?

by

... If the U.K.'s The Guardian is reporting this story accurately, there's been another quiet little breakthrough on the road to real teleportation of objects via 3-d printing (or additive manufacturing as it is also known). Only this time, the breakthrough is a real "whopper doozie":
Beam me up Scotty: German scientists invent working teleporter, of sorts
"Scientists from the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam have invented a real-life teleporter system that can scan in an object and “beam it” to another location.
"Not quite the dematerialisation and reconstruction of science fiction, the system relies on destructive scanning and 3D printing.
"An object at one end of the system is milled down layer-by-layer, creating a scan per layer which is then transmitted through an encrypted communication to a 3D printer. The printer then replicates the original object layer by layer, effectively teleporting an object from one place to another.
“We present a simple self-contained appliance that allows relocating inanimate physical objects across distance,” said the six person team in a paper submitted for the Tangible, Embedded and Embodied Interaction conference at Stanford University. “Users place an object into the sender unit, enter the address of a receiver unit, and press the relocate button.”
"The system dubbed “Scotty” in homage to the Enterprise’s much beleaguered chief engineer, differs from previous systems that merely copy physical object as its layer-by-layer deconstruction and encrypted transmission ensures that only one copy of the object exists at any one time, according to the scientists."(Emphases added)
While 3-d printing has been advancing by leaps and bounds, to the point that there are now even "3d scanners" that scan an object, allowing it to be replicated in a 3d printing, this new technique is another small but significant step to the "Star Trek" transported, in that, as the article indicates, the object is not scanned (a process which inevitably introduces "errors" into the copy), but actually "milled down" or taken apart layer by layer, and reassembled, layer by layer, at the receiving end. Add the ability to scan the materials composition of an object as it is being "milled down", transmit that data along with the physical dimensions of the object, and one has a simple sort of de facto transporter.

The Star Trek transporter, of course, took this to the ultimate degree, for the transported scanned an object (or person), broke it (or him or her) down to their constituent molecules, atoms, and particles, beamed these through space, and reassembled the whole thing at the other end. In other words, it was a real transporter. Milling an object down is a far cry, one is tempted to say, from that kind of capability. After all, we're nowhere near being able to scan something at that minute atom-by-atom and molecule-by-molecule level, much less, reassemble it.

Except... one would do well to recall that in Eric Drexler's now classic study of the emerging field of nanotechnology, Engines of Creation, published in 1986, he mentioned that IBM had successfully given a stunning display of the ability of engineers, even then, to engineer things on an extraordinarily small scale, by spelling out the corporate logo using a small number of xenon atoms, and that AT&T's Bell Laboratories had gone one better, by constructing humanity's first artificially created atom. It is now almost 29 years later, and one wonders just what such techniques, in conjunction with 3D printing, might have already been covertly accomplished, but if it's anything even close to being able to disassemble your favorite coffee cup and beam it to the hotel you're staying at on your vacation, then a transportation, energy, manufacturing, and financial revolution will inevitably follow.

Cold Fusion Alchemy: LENR Reactor Produces Gold and Platinum as a By-Product

The point, well-made here, is that it's likely that not only alternative energy sources have been secretly in the works for a century or more, but the alchemical production of precious metals, especially gold.  This would begin to help explain the many bizarre stories coming out of the precious metals markets daily...

by

Now here's one that prompts so much high octane speculation that, again, I don't know where to begin.

Alchemy 2.0 – Low Energy Nuclear Reactor Creates Gold and Platinum

Now here's the paragraphs that leaped out at me:
"The transmutation from lead to gold has been mankind’s dream for millennia. Lattice Energy LLC, a company from Chicago, IL, claims to have developed a process for energy production, utilizing a low-energy nuclear reactor (LENR) that, as a byproduct of neutron captures on tungsten, will create a mix of precious metals."
How is this done? Consider the use of combinations of nanotechnology, materials engineering, to create a lattice structure with unique abilities to engineer things at a quantum level:
"What enabled Lattice’s new approach were recent advances in nanotechnology. “Nanotechnology and LENR are joined at the hip”, said Larsen. “It is one of the reasons why this could not be done back in 1989-90. Before our work, nobody had a grasp on the theory of neutron creation from protons and electrons in tabletop apparatus; nor on exactly how to apply advanced nanotechnology to build well-performing prototype devices.”
"Combining the know-how of experts from a variety of disciplines including electro-dynamics, quantum electro-dynamics, nuclear physics and solid state physics, lead to the development of a theoretical foundation which is now ready to be prototyped, and put to the test."
And the result?
"Larsen’s theory that gold, platinum and several other metals can be created by his process is based on findings by Japanese physicist Prof. Hantaro Nagaoka who successfully transmuted tungsten into gold back in 1924. Nagaoka’s results have been verified by several institutions in recent independent experiments but so far there has been no effort to commercialize the process. “Now that the LENR transmutation process is well understood the use of nanotechnology may change all that”, believes Larsen.
“'The neutron-catalyzed LENR process follows rows of the periodic table of elements”, he went on, meaning that heavier metals than the starting targets’ will be created. The work published by Larsen and his team suggests that a tungsten target, for instance, will absorb neutrons and gradually be transmuted to gold, platinum and other platinum group metals. “And because LENR products are not dangerously radioactive”, Larsen added, “conventional metal recovery processes can be utilized.”
“Can we scale this up to a commercial process that makes money?” – Larsen is convinced it may be possible. (Emphases added)
Now, readers of my book The SS Brotherhood of the Bell will recall that I wrote about Professor Nagaoka's experiments in transumation in that book (as well as referring to it again in The Philosophers' Stone: Alchemy and the Secret Research for Exotic Matter). The German physicist Walther Gerlach also reported on similar experiments that were being done at the time in Weimar Germany in a short article in 1924 in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, a process which he clearly and explicitly called alchemy, and which he called for further research.

The discoveries were significant, in that quantum mechanics will still in its youth, and nuclear fission had not yet been discovered, so some other process was clearly at work. What is intriguing to contemplate, however, is what happened next, particularly in Germany, where a number of patents were taken out by Siemens and other firms in the 1920s for what can only be described as "alchemical processes." These were, of course, not commercially viable at the time. Or were they? During the same time period, General Erich Ludendorff, an early supporter of Hitler and the Nazis (and the real head of the German military and Kaiserreich in the final half of World War One), a participant in the Beer Hall Putsch of 1923, was also a backer of a number of alchemical schemes to produce gold to the tune of a personal cost to him of 100,000 Reichsmarks, in a little known affair(today, though it was well known at the time and something of an international scandal) known as the Tausend Affair, named after a con artist by the name of Franz Tausend who claimed to be able to produce gold. Tausend was tried and found guilty of fraud in Germany, but the process, and Gerlach's own international prestige as a scientist, would not allow the idea to go away.

Indeed, Reichsfuehrer SS, Heinrich Himmler, according to one of his infamous underlings, Oswald Pohl, had the SS conducted secret "alchemy" experiments in hidden laboratories scattered around the Reich, after the Nazi assumption of power, experiments that in my books I have argued were somehow connected to the wider German research coupled with their atom bomb project and as well to the Nazi Bell project.

The Alchemy of Synthetic Finance & Global Governance

An interesting topic in light of the world's central banks daily magic acts, producing money out of thin air, which then has no actual affect on world economies, because it isn't going into the world economies, it's going somewhere else.  Where are the trillions going?  Likely to something we aren't supposed to know about, at least not yet...

On the convergence of banking, technology and the occult

This past week, the world’s vultures, the economic power elite, met in Davos to discuss the maintenance of their global fiat hegemony.  Highlights included furthering austerity, noting that the serf class can’t have air conditioning and cars, as well as cheering on the death of privacy through the rise of technocracy.  The degenerate elite, completely out of touch with humanity, resembles the controllers in the Lucas classic, THX 1138, building their own prison destined to entrap their own progeny.

Degenerate elite always end up being their own worst enemy because pride detaches man from reality, which can only be perceived in the truth.  Pride causes man to adopt a delusory sense of the world and his own relation to it, thereby bringing about a praxis divorced from the rules of nature, logic and classical wisdom.  Banking man, homo economicus, with his foaming at the mouth rapaciousness, will find his own descendants trapped in the virtual A.I. prison grid he has built.
JC over at Philosophy of Metrics comments, citing the insightful and recommended film, Margin Call:
“This is why the solution has to come from within, as every system will simply corrupt again.  Philosophers and great thinkers have warned us continuously for thousands of years.  The manifestation of inner dysfunction and imbalance will always be represented physically as dysfunction and imbalances in the systems man develops.”

Things That Make You Go Hmm...Is the Gold at Fort Knox Radioactive? (And Does that Mean Goldfinger Was Real?)

by

FORT KNOX: Tainted With Radioactive Gold?

Now, excepting the sad story of the retiree from the plant, Mr. Harding, who was diagnosed with stomach cancer but denied a disability on the basis that his cancer was caused by eating "country ham" instead of walking through, and breathing, uranium hexaflouride (yes, folks, the corruption and stupidity in the USSA is that bad!), what I found interesting here was the irradiated gold story itself, and the slant it might provide as a high octane speculative explanation for all the high strangeness going on in the bullion markets, not to mention all that high strangeness with obfuscated amounts of gold bullion. (Not to mention that, once again, Ian Fleming's weird James Bond storyline plots seem to find yet another confirmation that the man, in some loose sense, was writing fiction based on fact. One can hear German actor Gerd Frobe even now, as James Bond is strapped spread-eagled to a table while an industrial laser calmly slices its easy way through the steel plate up to... well, you get the idea. Bond says, "Do you expect me to talk?" And Frobe aka Auric Goldfinger calmly responds, "No Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!")

According to the article, between 1964 and 1985, approximately 1 to 2 tons of gold was recovered from nuclear weapons during "reprocessing" at the plant:
"Now, according to the Department of Energy Report released December 21, 2000 on the Cold War ERA activities at the Paducah site
"In a separate report, DOE also investigated past metals recovery programs performed at the site from 1952 to 1986. The review included an extensive study of historical documents and interviews with current and retired employees. During this period, large quantities of steel, nickel, aluminum, copper, monel, cobalt, gold and silver were recovered at Paducah.
"'Based on available records, DOE estimates that between 2,800 and 5,300 pounds of gold from retired nuclear weapon assemblies and scrap parts was recovered and shipped from the Paducah Plant from 1964 to 1985. The operations used to reclaim gold were kept separate from other materials and contaminated processes onsite, but were conducted in contaminated areas of two buildings. For much of this period, recovered gold was shipped to the U.S. Department of Treasury for refinement and reuse. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, some gold was sold to commercial reprocessors.'
"So, there you have it.  The Department of Energy confirms in the released reports that 2,800-5,300 pounds of gold were recycled and shipped from the Paducah plant.  What is really interesting is the sentence that states, FOR MUCH OF THIS PERIOD, RECOVERED GOLD WAS SHIPPED TO THE U.S. TREASURY FOR REFINEMENT AND REUSE
"Now…. I don’t see how that sentence could be misconstrued as it was from an official government agency.  Of course, we don’t know how much gold was recast into bars and made it into the U.S. Gold Reserve, or how radioactive this gold may have been, but we do have clear evidence that it did occur.
"If we consider that say 3-4,000 pounds of gold were recycled and made their way into the U.S. Gold Reserve, that’s upwards of (160) 400 oz bars sitting in Fort Knox or sold to some POOR CENTRAL BANK SLOB… who has no idea the gold they received may indeed be glowing." (All emphases in the article or added in the original article).

German-made 'miracle' machine turns water into gasoline

by RT.com

There is as yet no method to mimic Jesus Christ and turn water into wine, but German chemical engineers have proved they can perform miracles of alchemy. They are now finalizing the assembly of a rig that changes water into gasoline.

The German company says it has developed an engineering installation capable of synthesizing petroleum-based fuels from water and carbon dioxide. The ‘power-to-liquid’ rig converts gases extracted from water into liquid hydrocarbon fuels.

“I would call it a miracle because it completely changes the way we are producing fuels for cars, planes and also the chemical industry,” Nils Aldag, Chief Financial Officer and co-founder of Sunfire GmbH told RT’s Ruptly video agency.

The Dresden-based company expects the technology to have a big impact on the future fuel market.
The electrically-powered installation uses a process known as Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis, first developed by German chemists Franz Fischer and Hans Tropsch in 1925.

The Fischer-Tropsch (F-T) reaction converts colorless, odorless, incombustible carbon dioxide gas (CO2) extracted from water, and hydrogen gas generated from water vapor, by electrolysis into liquid fuels such as diesel, jet kerosene and other chemical products.

The conversion process takes place in a series of reactors at temperatures between 150 and 300 degrees Celsius.

However, the F-T fuel technology “will always be more expensive” than getting conventional liquid hydrocarbon fuels from oil or coal, Aldag warned.

“What is important is that the value creation happens at the place where you use the fuel,” he said. So there will be no crude oil transportation costs and expensive infrastructure. “You are producing the fuel right where you are actually going to use it,” Aldag stressed.

One might think that much cheaper conventional fuels will always be a sure bet, but this depends on the given conditions. The Pentagon has already been working in this direction.

The US military has spent up to $150 per gallon on alternative jet fuels made from algae, which is a good bit more than the approximately $3 per gallon that traditional jet fuels currently cost in the US.

Alchemy Works - Gold Made in Laboratories

And very likely the CERN reactor is being used to make large quantities among other experiments...
