Driving GMOs and Monsanto’s Roundup off the Market

Since genetically engineered (GE) crops, foods, and animal drugs were brazenly forced onto the market in 1994 by Monsanto and the FDA, with neither pre-market safety testing nor labels required, consumers and small farmers worldwide have mobilized to ban, label, or boycott these controversial "Frankenfoods."

With mounting scientific evidence¹ underlining the human health and environmental toxicity of GE foods, and growing alarm over the toxic pesticides such as Monsanto's Roundup that invariably accompany genetically modified organisms (GMOs), currently 64 nations require mandatory labeling of GMOs.
Numerous states and regions in the European Union, and several dozen entire nations, including Switzerland, Australia, Austria, China, India, France, Germany, Hungary, Luxembourg, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Italy, and Russia, have banned GMO crops altogether.²
In the European Union (EU), where mandatory labeling laws are in effect, little or no GMO crops or food are on the market (except for imported GMO animal feed). In addition to banning GMOs, a growing number of countries, including El Salvador and Sri Lanka, have begun to ban the use of Monsanto's Roundup.
This  toxic herbicide is sprayed heavily on 84 percent of all GMO crops, and increasingly applied as a pre-harvest desiccant, or drying agent, on scores of other non-GMO crops including wheat, rice, beans, potatoes, barley, oats, flax, peas, lentils, and sugar cane.
Even in the US where 168 million acres of GE crops are under cultivation (including 90 percent or more of all corn, soy, cotton, canola, and sugar beets), survey after survey has shown that Americans, especially mothers and parents of small children, are either suspicious of, or alarmed by, unlabeled GMOs.
This is understandable given the toxic track records of the chemical companies pushing this technology (Monsanto, Dow, Syngenta, Dupont, BASF, and Bayer), as well as the mounting scientific evidence that these controversial foods and crops—and the toxic herbicides and insecticides sprayed on them or laced into their cells—severely damage or kill birds, bees, butterflies, lab rats, farm animals, and humans.
Currently US regulatory agencies, in sharp contrast to Europe, rely on industry's own indentured scientists to determine whether GMOs—and the toxic chemicals, pesticides, and fertilizers that accompany their use—are "safe" for human health, animals, the environment, and the climate.
Meanwhile mass media journalists and food industry representatives monotonously regurgitate Monsanto's dangerous mantra: Genetically engineered foods and crops are just as safe as "conventional" foods and crops, and there is no "mainstream scientific evidence" that GMOs are dangerous.

Consumers Want Genetically Engineered Foods to Be Labeled

Polls consistently indicate that 90 percent of Americans want to know whether or not their food has been genetically engineered, even though massive lobbying and advertising by the GMO lobby has prevented labeling laws from passing at the federal level and in most US states.

THE NATURE COAST, Florida – A group of fishermen living along Florida’s “Nature Coast” – tucked along the state’s western shore from the Panhandle to Pine Island – have agreed to meet with Bellona’s Karl Kristensen and me and they’re feeling a bit edgy.

We’ve driven out to a house out along the Gulf of Mexico through the early sunset of a late February night.

All of them have switched off their cellphones. A woman paces back and forth to the edge of the yard to monitor passing cars and gauge if our voices might carry over the still sea waters where prying ears could be listening from darkened boats.

The people at the house are trying to puzzle together the four most devastating events following BP’s Macondo well blowout on April 20, 2010, which killed 11 and fouled Gulf waters with 4.9 million barrels of crude: declining and deformed seafood harvests, chronic illnesses they’ve developed, what’s happening to the environment that provides their livelihood, and why their concerns are met with foreboding hostility and ominous threats.

Unlike other interviews I’ve had with Deepwater Horizon victims in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama – who all talked to me in public lunch shacks or on their docks – this discussion opens with one of the fishermen telling me: “We could get killed for what we are telling you.”

The fishing community in which they live is small and insular, they explain, and solely dependent on the sea for its survival. Talking about how it was impacted by the BP oil spill is violently discouraged.

One of the group says the message to many in these small fishing villages is clear: “If you’ve got something to say about oil or [the toxic oil dispersant] Corexit affecting these waters, keep your mouth shut.”

He recounts the retribution he’s seen, and that might await anyone sitting in the dim ring of the porch’s light.

“You get your [car’s] gas tank sugared, houses burn, people get followed by unmarked vans and trucks, people disappear,” he says. “There’s the little stuff that just messes with people’s livelihoods, can’t get to work, can’t fix your boat, and then there’s the big shut up – the threat is very real, and people’s lives are in danger.”

MIT doctor reveals link between glyphosate, GMOs and the autism epidemic

(NaturalNews) A major missing link in the search for what's triggering a massive spike in autism rates appears to be the world's best-selling weedkiller, Roundup. Dr. Stephanie Seneff from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has been studying the autism issue for several decades, and her copious research has led her to the almost undeniable conclusion that glyphosate, the main ingredient in Roundup, is a major driver of autism.

What was once an extremely rare health condition now afflicts roughly 1 in 68 children, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). That ’92 ruling serves as the foundation by which the biotechnology industry has been able to get away with this fraud. There’s so much information here, I strongly encourage you to get a copy of his book if you have any interest in this topic.
It will give you a clear understanding of what the problems are and how we got to the point where we are now.

Facts Overlooked by Federal Judge

In part one of this interview, we reviewed his lawsuit against the FDA, and how the federal judge appointed to the case failed to rule in accordance to the law.

“She actually ignored some very important evidence that was in the FDA files and that the attorneys and I presented,” Steven says.
"We know that Congress certainly is not immune to special interest and to the money that can be thrown around. But the federal judiciary is supposed to be free of that.
I cannot speculate as to the judge’s motivations other than when I read the opinion, I find it difficult to understand how such an opinion came out because there are some serious facts that were overlooked.”  

One of the main pieces of evidence that came straight from the FDA’s own files was a letter written by the FDA’s biotechnology coordinator, sent to a Canadian health official less than six months before the FDA announced its policy on GE foods.

When the National Academy of Sciences released a pair of reports earlier this month on geoengineering—deliberate intervention in the climate system to counter global warming—it moved discussion of the controversial topic into the mainstream science community. The NAS-convened experts concluded that geoengineering is no silver bullet, but that further research is needed. David Keith, Gordon McKay Professor of Applied Physics at Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and Professor of Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School, has been a leading voice for assessing the risks and implications of large-scale deployment of geoengineering to help cool the planet. Keith’s 2013 book, A Case for Climate Engineering, lays out how geoengineering might fit into a larger program for managing climate change (complementing steps to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and devise adaptation strategies). He recently detailed a potential small-scale solar radiation management experiment in which chemicals would be dispersed in the high atmosphere to reflect sunlight away from the Earth’s surface. He has also suggested a scenario for analyzing the risks and benefits of geoengineering, and proposed frameworks for the governance of geoengineering testing by nation states.

Flame Retardants and Cosmetic Chemicals May Jeopardize Your Health

Unless you live in some remote wilderness, you’re likely being exposed to a wide variety of chemicals on a daily basis that can compromise your health. One class of chemicals that have become ubiquitous in the US is flame retardants.

In the 1970s, the US implemented fire safety standards that led to more and more products adopting the use of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) to meet the stringent regulations.
PBDEs have a molecular structure similar to that of banned PCBs, the latter of which have been linked to cancer, reproductive problems, and impaired fetal brain development.
And, even though certain PBDEs have since been banned in some US states, they still persist in the environment and accumulate in your body. Tests have revealed that as many as 97 percent of all Americans have significant levels of PBDEs in their blood.
Many harmful chemicals also lurk in personal care products that you apply to your body on a daily basis.
A recent article in Environmental Health Perspectives¹ discusses the impact of newer flame retardants and the routes by which people are exposed to these hazardous chemicals—which, surprisingly, may include personal care products.

Hand-to-Mouth Exposures in Adults

In 2005, PBDEs used in foam furniture were voluntarily withdrawn from the US market.² But were they replaced with harmless chemicals? Hardly.
Many PBDEs were replaced by organophosphate flame retardants such as tris phosphate (TDCIPP), and triphenyl phosphate (TPHP), both of which are now used in a wide variety of consumer goods, including furniture, cars seats, carpet padding, and baby products, just to name a few.
According to the featured article:³

“TDCIPP is listed as a human carcinogen under California’s Proposition 65, and a small human study found evidence that exposure to both TDCIPP and TPHP was associated with altered levels of some hormones and lower sperm concentration.
In vitro and animal data have linked TDCIPP to neurotoxicity and both TDCIPP and TPHP to endocrine disruption.”

A recent study⁴ looked at how, and to what degree, people were exposed to these chemicals in their homes. A total of 53 men and women participated in the study, and more than 90 percent of them provided dust samples from their home.
Not only did every single dust sample contain both TDCIPPs and TPHPs, metabolites of TPHP and TDCIPP were also found in 91 percent and 83 percent of the urine samples respectively.

"DALTON, Ga. - Trillions of cubic feet of natural gas believed to lie below the hills of northwest Georgia have remained virtually untouched and unwanted - until now.
Shale gas drilling is slowing across the country, but a handful of companies are poking around this corner of the state looking for the next natural gas "play." If they succeed, Georgia could join the ranks of states reaping jobs, revenue and fears of environmental damage from energy production, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution has learned.
It has been at least 30 years since Georgia - which has never produced a drop of oil or natural gas - has seen as much exploratory activity.
An Oklahoma-based company that leased 7,500 acres of land outside Dalton has two test wells in place and plans another nearby. Seventy miles away, near Cave Spring, a Texas oil, gas and development conglomerate plans a deeper well.
At least three other companies have recently researched the so-called Conasauga shale field, a 20-by-100 mile swath of farm and forest that runs from Alabama across Georgia and into Tennessee.
Georgia joins Tennessee and North Carolina as Southern states newly popular with wildcatters and major gas and oil companies.

Merck senior management tried to pay off its own vaccine scientists to remain silent about scientific fraud

(NaturalNews) As the corporate media desperately attempts to dupe as many people as possible into getting MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccines for the protection of "the children," uncovered court documents revealing major vaccine fraud at Merck & Co., the multinational drug company that produces MMR vaccines for the U.S. market, are only getting the attention they deserve from the alternative media.

Back in 2010, two former Merck scientists, repulsed by what they saw taking place at the highest levels of the company, filed a False Claims Act in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The filing accuses Merck of lying about the safety and effectiveness of MMR vaccines, tampering with study data, defrauding the U.S. government and various other high-level crimes.

Claims by Merck that the mumps component of the MMR vaccine is "95 percent effective" are also questioned in the filing. Stephen Krahling and Joan Wlochowski say Merck senior management falsified data specifically on the effectiveness of the mumps vaccine, intentionally spiking blood samples with animal antibodies in order to trick the public into thinking that the vaccine is effective.

"Merck... added animal antibodies to blood samples to achieve more favorable test results, though it knew that the human immune system would never produce such antibodies, and that the antibodies created a laboratory testing scenario that 'did not in any way correspond to, correlate with, or represent real life... virus neutralization in vaccinated people,'" explains CourthouseNews.com.

Other alleged transgressions include Merck swindling the U.S. government out of "hundreds of millions of dollars for a vaccine that does not provide adequate immunization," as well as promoting the spread of mumps with its fraudulent vaccine. This elaborate scam, which the duo says has been taking place since the late 1990s, has allowed Merck to monopolize the vaccine market, specifically with regard to MMR vaccines.

CDC owns patent on Ebola virus; agency to collect royalties on all future Ebola vaccines

As the Ebola pestilence grows exponentially, news comes that the CDC and a few well placed billionaires are well placed to profit from it's growth.  And what should we think about that?

(NaturalNews) As the Ebola crisis rages on, details about who the stakeholders are in this global disease operation have emerged -- and yes, the U.S. government is one of them. Dave Hodges from The Common Sense Show reports that none other than the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Department of Defense (DoD) and Monsanto all stand to gain from this manufactured Ebola crisis and the vaccines that were already being developed for it nearly 10 years ago.

In the second part of a three-part series on Ebola, Hodges warns that mandatory vaccinations are definitely on the agenda, with the CDC expected to generate large returns on investment for each one administered. The agency apparently owns the patent not only on the original Ebola strain, as it was supposedly "discovered" back in the 1970s, but also on all future Ebola strains that might emerge in the future.

Vaccine company has $140 million contract with Department of Defense to develop Ebola jab

This patent, which Hodges recently posted on his website, reveals that the CDC claims ownership over Ebola, meaning it can also claim royalties on the distribution and sale of Ebola vaccines. The DoD is also in on the scam, having contracted with Tekmira Pharmaceuticals Corporation, a leading RNA interference therapeutics developer, to develop a vaccine for Ebola.

But this is hardly a recent development -- the government has been working with multinational corporations like Tekmira to develop vaccines for Ebola since prior to 2006, long before the current outbreak. Bill Gates has also invested heavily in the development of such vaccines, footing $50 million in "aid" to the United Nations to "fight Ebola."

This fight, of course, is more of a commercial endeavor rather than a humanitarian one, as evidenced by the various partnerships involved. Gates, Monsanto and others quietly invest "seed" money to initiate product development; the government and media play along by hyping whatever crisis is needed to generate demand for the product; and at just the right time, the vaccine is launched and millions are subjected to it.

CDC Vaccination and Autism: Accepting the "Mercury Challenge"

It’s that time of the year again, the time when I have to rant a bit about the pharmaceutical fictions that plague modern medicine. Why the rant? Well, for one thing, I had to journey out a couple of days ago to one of those large chain stores, and there, boldly emblazoned on its automatic doors was a poster to the effect of “Get your flu shot soon!” with the dates that said store would have smiling drones of big pharma pumping people full of crud. This already put me into a foul mood, as I remembered my many conversations with my mother when she was alive about “getting your flu shot.”  It would usually begin with her asking if I received one, and with me explaining I never get them, because (1) the vaccines are full of crud like mercury and other fun stuff and (2) I never get the flu, while she did get them, and always became sick or at least “under the weather”. I managed to convince her that this was usually all a media-driven scam every year with some new impending epidemic -Sars, swine flu, bird flu… we all know the litany – threatening your very existence if you didn’t rush to Wallberger Mart and get your flu shot.

 

But wait, there’s more… after being subjected to the poster, and a smiling cashier-lemming reminding me at the checkout to get my flu shot, I informed her I never do, never would, and didn’t like the mercury in vaccines. “What? Mercury in vaccines…?”  I had no time to walk her through it, so I said simply “google it.”

 

I returned home, and did something I seldom do, I turned on the television news while I put away my various purchases. Within seconds, there was a commercial for some new drug: take this for an erection, take that for depression, take this for shingles, take that for athlete’s foot… and oh, by the way, discontinue use and consult your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms: shortness of breath, impaired vision, a pain in your —— (fill in the blank from the appropriate commercial), suicidal thoughts, impaired urinary function, males growing breasts (don’t worry ladies, they’re getting around to you too),  sudden hearing loss, as these can lead to heart attack, stroke, high (or low) blood pressure, diabetes, or terminal flatulence. 

 

One only has to listen to the commercials to understand that something is terribly wrong with the medical-pharmaceutical system, and to understand that the new drugs are nothing more than a sorcerer’s brew rammed through a weak and compliant regulatory protocol so that big companies can make lots of money making people sick so that they can “cure” them by making them sicker.  If you don’t think this is going on with the drugs, then try an experiment: during one week, watch all those drug commercials, and write down a list of (1) what the magical potion pill is for and (2) what the “side effects” are… you’ll be stunned. 

 

Now where am I going with all this? Well, like most of you, I’ve been watching that ebola story, and the CDC whistleblower story, and it’s the latter that really has me angry, angry because a “science” that has to be bought, and data that has to be spun or suppressed, is not science at all; in my book, it’s a felony.  If you’ve been following Jon Rappaport’s blogs on the whistleblower story, this should come as no surprise:

So…gee…. you say that tiny bit of mercury in that form that’s in vaccines has no relationship to children’s brains being affected? that it’s entirely harmless to adults? So you believe your own propaganda, huh? “We’ve been down this autism-mercury link before and there’s nothing to it.” 

 

Ok, fine. Let’s try “The Mercury Challenge.” (OR, “Pick Your Favorite Vaccine Crud”). Run, don’t walk, to your nearest chemical supply company, get some mercury and a syringe, and suck up just a teeny tiny amount of it, and inject yourself with it. Or you can even have the vaccine variety. 

 

Just get your seasonal shot of mercury, and have a nice day watching drug commercials of other harmless drugs. And remember what Rappaport quoted:

“The government has never compensated, nor has it ever been ordered to compensate, any case based on a determination that autism was actually caused by vaccines. We have compensated cases in which children exhibited an encephalopathy, or general brain disease. Biotech genocide, Monsanto collaborators and the Nazi legacy of 'science' as justification for murder

(NaturalNews) Monsanto is widely recognize as the most hated and most evil corporation on the planet. Even so, several internet-based media websites are now marching to Monsanto's orders, promoting GMOs and pursuing defamatory character assassination tactics against anyone who opposes GMOs, hoping to silence their important voices.

These Monsanto collaborator sites tend to be "leftist" publications but also include at least one prominent business and finance publisher on the political right. All of them are Monsanto collaborators who have signed on to accelerate heinous crimes being committed against humanity under the false promise of "feeding the world" with toxic GMOs.

Monsanto is called the IG Farben of modern world because its actions reflect the kind of crimes against humanity that remind me of those pursued by IG Farben, the chemical conglomerate run by Nazi collaborators during the Adolf Hitler regime. IG Farben used Jewish prisoners as human guinea pigs in horrific medical experiments, and the company pioneered so-called "science-based breakthroughs" for the development of psychiatric drugs, chemical pesticides, chemotherapy agents and gas chamber death chemicals like Zyklon B.

The entire Nazi regime, by the way, was based on invoking "science" as its justifying foundation. The killing of Jews was based in "science," as was Hitler's desire to use genocide to "cleanse the human race" by killing off those he saw as "genetically inferior." Science was the buzzword of the Nazi regime, and it was used to justify almost every crime carried out by the Nazi regime.



Anyone who resisted the Nazi regime was condemned as "anti-science" in precisely the same way that anyone who now questions the wisdom of unleashing genetically modified seeds into the open environment is also called "anti-science." But questioning science is not "anti" science at all -- it is an inherent part of the scientific process. That's a fact that the biotech industry has conveniently forgotten. Their stance today is that no one can ever question the "science" of GMOs, period.

Thus, GMOs aren't based in science at all. They are the domain of a radical cult where questions are not allowed and critical thinking is condemned and censored.

How the USDA Can Make or Break Public Health, and Why It Has Chosen the Latter

The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) was formed in 1862 by Abraham Lincoln. It is responsible for developing and executing federal policies relating to farming, agriculture, forestry, and food. 

Since its inception, the USDA has been granted powers by both Congress and presidential executive orders that, progressively and collectively, have made it the policy-setter for both agricultural policies and nutritional guidelines. 

This is an obvious and serious conflict of interest that has led to an epidemic of chronic disease. It's also why federal guidelines relating to diet are so grossly divergent from nutritional science. 

Historically, USDA policies have been heavily—and in some instances, exclusively—influenced by pesticide producers and the junk food industry, and for the last 100 years, its nutrition "guidelines" have been a direct result of an effort to boost farm economics. 

In short, federal dietary recommendations have very little to do with actual nutrition science, and everything to do with promoting foods that serve the junk food industry's bottom line, not the public health.  

Through its power to set and enforce both agricultural policy and dietary standards, the USDA has much to answer for when it comes to the current state of health of Americans...

Nutrition Guidelines Set to Boost Junk Food Economics, Not to Promote Health

Ever since 1933, every five to seven years the US Congress passes a set of legislative acts commonly referred to as "the Farm Bill," which includes agricultural subsidies to growers of certain types of food.  

These subsidies are in large part responsible for promoting and worsening the US obesity epidemic—a fact highlighted in a 2013 study published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.¹ According to the authors, the root of the problem is that:

"Government-issued payments have skewed agricultural markets toward the overproduction of commodities that are the basic ingredients of processed, energy-dense foods."

This includes corn, soybeans, wheat and rice, which are the top four most heavily subsidized foods.  

By subsidizing these, particularly corn and soy, the US government is actively supporting a diet that consists of these processed grains, namely high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), soybean oil, and grain-fed cattle – all of which are now well-known contributors to obesity and chronic disease. 

The Farm Bill essentially creates a negative feedback loop that perpetuates the highly profitable but health-harming processed food diet that the United States has become infamous for.  

The US government is actively promoting obesity and chronic disease through these subsidies, while simultaneously creating flawed and ineffective anti-obesity campaigns and programs to combat the very problems rooted in its agricultural policies!

While I might assume a particular position on an issue, that position is subject to change when new or more relevant information becomes available. Remember the sorghum aluminum resistance patent that we thought was created by Monsanto to counter the effects of excess aluminum found in the soil after heavy chemtrailing? Well, it turns out that we were partially right. 
Here is where we went wrong:
The patent for aluminum resistance mentioned in What in the World are They Spraying? turns out to be owned by the USDA and Brazil’s agricultural department, not Monsanto directly (although a good case can be made for Monsanto actually owning the USDA, but that’s another story) and evidently, made for acidic soil and will not be effective in an alkaline soil caused by chemtrailing. Therefore, it appears that this particular patent most likely is targeted for Africa, which seems to be a major biotech interest.
Here is where we were right:
Monsanto DOES own patents that appear to mitigate the effects of geo-engineering, that can be applied to a whole host of fruits, trees, grains and veggies. A quick patent search brings up 3,981 hits for Monsanto and Stress Tolerance. Mendel Biotechnology is partners with Monsanto in several of these patents. This is taken from one of the joint patents:

The claimed invention, in the field of functional genomics and the characterization of plant genes for the improvement of plants, was made by or on behalf of Mendel Biotechnology, Inc. and Monsanto Corporation as a result of activities undertaken within the scope of a joint research agreement in effect on or before the date the claimed invention was made.

Here is a patent titled “Stress tolerant plants and methods thereof,” that is owned by Monsanto, and seems to address all forms of abiotic stress that weather manipulation and chemtrails can cause:
