End-Times Buffoonery

Well written article on the pulp prophecy machine used by uber-wealthy tv preachers and far too many politicians...

Politics and religion all too often assume odd and distorted forms in America. The United States has long been the home of a wide assortment of bizarre and eccentric sects and cults, most being harmless, or at least lacking the ability to do any serious harm outside of their immediate proximity without large-scale followings nor serious political access. But there are always exceptions, and one of the more prominent and influential ones is the highly-politicized and well-funded Dispensationalist movement, a vocal and well-represented faction among fundamentalist Protestants. Not only do Dispensationalists have a large scale following, but they also manage to wield considerable influence in Washington, especially on US foreign policy.

The relationship between fundamentalist Protestant eschatology of the Dispensationalist variety and America’s geopolitical agenda can be clearly seen in the figure of Hal Lindsey. In the early 1970’s he published a book, The Late Great Planet Earth, which proved a bestseller among fundamentalist Protestants. Scrawled during the height of the Cold War, Lindsey’s work proposed that Soviet Russia was the sinister entity known as Gog spoken about by the Hebrew prophet Ezekiel, and that it would soon invade Israel, thus bringing about Armageddon. Lindsey was not an isolated figure by any means; a film based on his book – narrated by none other than Orson Welles – was made, and his admirers included Ronald Reagan, who cited Lindsey’s teachings on Russia as Gog in a speech prior to becoming president.

Lindsey’s eschatology served to provide a Manichean, religious veneer to America’s Cold War against communist Russia. It conveniently serviced Washington’s geopolitical ends, as well as casting all of Israel’s Arab opponents as agents of sinister supernatural forces. America and Israel were the Sons of Light, while their adversaries were the Sons of Darkness. As such, Protestant fundamentalists found ample theological justification to support Euro-Atlantic elites’ drive for global hegemony. Indeed, the late American intellectual Gore Vidal whimsically observed that the practical result of this Dispensationalist theology was a “military buildup that can never, ever cease until we have done battle for the Lord.”
Blood moons, everyone! Are you Rapture-ready?
Blood moons, everyone! Have you blessed Israel enough to escape tribulation?

With his end-of-the world predictions long unfulfilled, Hal Lindsey has long since faded into relative obscurity, yet others have ambitiously taken up his mantle. Among the most prominent of the current crop of evangelical Christian Zionists stands John Hagee, the pastor of a Texas mega-church and founder of the lobbying group Christians United for Israel. His theological platform is based not only on uncritical, unwavering support for the nation-state of Israel, but a belief that at some point in the near future Russia, in an alliance with several Islamic countries, particularly Iran, will attack Israel, only to be defeated by God’s divine intervention.

Former Megachurch Pastor Rob Bell Tells Oprah The Church Is ‘Moments Away’ From Abandoning Traditional Faith To Embrace The Days Of Lot

By Leonardo Blair , CP Reporter

Kristen Bell (L), Oprah Winfrey and former Mars Hill Bible Church pastor and best-selling author Rob Bell (R).

Former Mars Hill Bible Church pastor and best-selling author Rob Bell told media mogul Oprah Winfrey on Sunday that the American church is “moments away” from embracing gay marriage and thinks “it’s inevitable.” Bell made the statement during a Valentine’s weekend episode of Winfrey’s “Super Soul Sunday” television show where he appeared with his wife, Kristen, to discuss marriage and their new book, The ZimZum of Love: A New Way of Understanding Marriage.

The same-sex marriage discussion portion of the episode, which can be viewed below, starts at around the 29-minute mark where Kristen begins reading an excerpt from the book.
"Marriage, gay and straight, is a gift to the world because the world needs more not less love, fidelity, commitment, devotion and sacrifice," she noted.

Winfrey then tells the couple that she thought it was great that they made a conscious choice to include gay marriage in the book, and asked them why?

"One of the oldest aches in the bones of humanity is loneliness," replied Rob Bell. "Loneliness is not good for the world. Whoever you are, gay or straight, it is totally normal, natural and healthy to want someone to go through life with. It's central to our humanity. We want someone to go on the journey with."

The Emerging Church and the Bono-Screwtape Connection

The Emerging Church is the greatest threat to the true church in the U.S. today and in the years to come...

Many Emergents view Bono, frontman of the popular rock band U2, as their "prophet" and main icon in the Emergent Church movement. Bono has stated that his stage persona's during U2's Zoo TV tour were inspired by C.S. Lewis' "Screwtape Letters," but in what way and for what purpose? Is this how the bible teaches us to conduct ourselves as Christians? How is Bono continuing to influence the church today? Learn why truth is sometimes stranger than fiction as we reveal the shocking truth behind what inspires this Emergent rocker.

Harvard Chair Went to Doubting Wigglesworth

I have a theory.  With the coming of "illuminated" or revolutionary Freemasonry to the colonies, they brought along their own church, a place they could meet and go through the motions of worship to their "Great Architect of the Universe".  That church was the Unitarian church, and it's invasion into the Christian colleges began the downfall of the American Collegiate system as an honest, faithful, Christian system, to the barren wasteland of spiritual emptiness it is today.

Harvard Chair Went to Doubting Wigglesworth
How did America's great Christian colleges come to abandon their faith and become the secular institutions they are today?

When Harvard College was founded by the Puritans in 1636, they knew well what they wanted from their school. "Let every Student be plainly instructed, and earnestly pressed to consider well, the maine end of his life and studies is, to know God and Jesus Christ which is eternal life, John 17:3, and therefore to lay Christ in the bottome, as the only foundation of all found knowledge and Learning..." The great school was intended to produce a godly clergy.

In less than a hundred years, that high ideal faltered. Liberals won control of the school. On this day, January 24, 1722, they appointed Edward Wigglesworth to fill the newly created Thomas Hollis chair at Harvard College. This made Mr. Wigglesworth the first divinity professor commissioned in the American colonies, but what should have been cause for rejoicing was actually reason to mourn.
Although Wigglesworth had convinced orthodox members his theology was sound, it was not. In Three Centuries of Harvard, Samuel Eliot Morison described what happened next: "One of the first theologians in New England who dared publicly to challenge the 'five points of Calvinism,' he [Wigglesworth] employed the deadly method of doubt in inquiry, rather than direct attack...

Wigglesworth was a prime favorite with Harvard students, and he and his son Edward, who succeeded, had a very great influence on New England theology. It was the Wigglesworths who trained the pioneers of liberal Christianity in New England--the ministers who led the way out of the lush but fearsome jungles of Calvinism, into the thin, clear light of Unitarianism."

When the evangelist George Whitefield came to the United States, he denounced liberal colleges as "abodes of darkness, a darkness which could be felt." The men of Harvard were "Pharisees, resting on head knowledge," he said. Wigglesworth retorted that Whitefield was fiscally corrupt, demonstrated bad manners and unleashed dangerous enthusiasm among the masses, destroying the peace of New England's parishes.

In 1701, Yale was founded to counter Harvard's drift from orthodox Calvinism. By 1805, Unitarians controlled Harvard. Had Wigglesworth had a fervent faith, his appointment this day might have prevented that slide to heresy.

Left Behind or Led Astray? [Official Trailer]

Great approach to the topic.  As usual, Good Fight Ministries gets the scriptures right, and Hollywood only embraces that which gets the scriptures wrong.  The rapture can't happen today or tomorrow, yet millions of Christians believe the lie, discarding the simple truths of 1 Thessalonians 2:1-4, where Paul says the "Day of the Lord" (rapture, return of Jesus Christ) cannot happen before two major events occur, events which we know will happen 3 1/2 years into the final 7 year period.  (See Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15-22)  Good stuff!

President Obama and Pope Francis Team-up to Fulfill Prophecies of Malachi Martin

To catch up on just what the late Father Martin had said, check out his predictions here for the coming of one who would be Satan's representative to sit on the Papal throne...

By
ZPopeObama

Pope Francis, the head of the Catholic Church, has emerged as a somewhat controversial figure. While maintaining semblances of the Catholic stance on social issues, Pope Francis seems to be more-malleable on these issues than any other Pope in history.

The Pope has struck a liberal tone on certain key issues and has even agreed to address the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics on the importance of combating climate change- a catch-all term favored by liberals to encompass any slight variance in weather.

The Pope is expected to address the United Nations in 2015 on the issue and call for a summit of world religious leaders from many different faiths to discuss the issue.

Further, the Pope was reportedly involved in the recent thawing of relations with Cuba, a nation that has been on-the-outs with the U.S. for a half-century due to the Communist dictatorship that infests the imprisoned island.

The Pontiff has also spoken-out against trickle-down economics, the economic policy that serves as a generator of economic growth and is aimed more at providing opportunities for the poor rather than mere handouts and government dependency.

As Pope Francis crusades for liberal political issues, it seems clear that Obama, who has served as arguably the most-hostile president to religion in history, has found a true ally and a way to help mend fences with Catholics who have taken issue with his extreme secular agenda.

Mormoninsm, Transhumanism and Freemasonry

This is an excerpt from Tom Horn's book, "Zenith 2016". Tom Horn is speculating that perhaps something began in 2012 that will reach it's zenith (peak) in 2016, and that something might include a Mormon president of the United States. I'm not seeing it, but Mr. Horn's research is extensive and his previous works have proven to be amazingly prophetic in many ways, so I'm forwarding that speculation here...

Did Something Begin In 2012... That Will Zenith In 2016?

By Tom Horn

s
Whether it be Mitt Romney or another LDS member, the chances of a Mormon American President in 2016 is stronger than many think, as this religion—once widely held as a cult—is among the fastest growing in the world.
What makes this prophetically interesting in light of the larger scope of the new book Zenith 2016 and the occultist dream of a deified man in the role of a national leader (the second coming of Apollo), is how perfectly fitting Mormon theology balances with scriptural revelations concerning the arrival of the Antichrist. As with Joseph Smith’s prophecy, the Man of Sin will ride in on a white horse, having preexisted before coming (again) in a body of flesh (Revelation 17:8). He will be a god-man, as Mormonism aspires to, and the embodiment of Jesus’ bad-boy “brother,” the Devil. Yes—despite the flack presidential candidate Mike Huckabee took in 2007[i] for asking the question—members of the LDS do believe Jesus and Satan are brothers and you can read this for yourself on the LDS website in chapter three of their “Gospel Principles.” [ii] Mike Moody adds, “Mormons were taught as children that Lucifer is our big brother—the second born after Jesus—who presented God the Father with an earthly plan to force humanity into righteousness and mandatory salvation. [iii] In response, Jesus countered with his plan of ‘free agency,’ which our Heavenly Father accepted for his spirit children over [the other son] Lucifer’s plan.” [iv] Mormonism even provides for the posthuman technology known as ‘transhumanism’ that some believe is necessary to incarnate the Lord’s “brother” as the end times Man of Sin, and a Mormon Transhumanist Association [v] exists to syncretize LDS religion with these goals.
END TIMES CULT OR JUST ANOTHER CHRISTIAN DENOMINATION?
This is where I may lose some readers, but I must be straight forward on this issue. Mormonism is not just another Christian denomination. It is a cult and one of the earliest American forms of transhumanism. This is readily demonstrated in their doctrines concerning Jesus where His deity is minimized as not so unlike other glorified men. He is eternal, but the spirits of all men are eternal in the same way. Mormon theology teaches that the gods produced spirit children from eternity, but that they had to wait for men on Earth to provide bodies for their incarnation via human procreation. Jesus Christ was merely one of these spirit children along with His brother, Lucifer, who received a body and became a god. The only difference between Christ and other men is one of progression over time rather than ontology. A partial transcript from a documentary by Jeremiah Films on the Belief of Mormonism explains:

Mormons believe that Elohim is their heavenly father and that he lives with his many goddess wives on a planet near a mysterious star called Kolob.
Here, the god of Mormonism and his wives, through endless celestial sex, produced billions of spirit children. To decide their destiny, the head of the Mormon gods called a great heavenly council meeting. Both of Elohim’s eldest sons were there, Lucifer, and his brother, Jesus.
A plan was presented to build planet earth, where the spirit children would be sent to take on mortal bodies and learn good from evil.
Lucifer stood and made his bid for becoming savior of this new world. Wanting the glory for himself, he planned to force everyone to become gods. Opposing the idea, the Mormon Jesus suggested giving man his freedom of choice as on other planets. The vote that followed approved the proposal of the Mormon Jesus, who would become savior of the planet earth.
Enraged, Lucifer cunningly convinced one third of the spirits destined for earth to fight with him in revolt.
Thus Lucifer became the Devil and his followers the Demons. Sent to this world, they would forever be denied bodies of flesh and bone.
Those who remained neutral in the battle were cursed to be born with black skin. This is the Mormon explanation for [persons of black ancestry or appearance].
The spirits that fought most valiantly against Lucifer would be born into Mormon families on planet earth. These would be the lighter skinned people, or white and delightsome, as the Book of Mormon describes them.
Early Mormon prophets taught that Elohim and one of his goddess wives came to earth as Adam and Eve to start the human race. Thousands of years later, Elohim, in human form once again, journeyed to earth from the star base Kolob, this time to have sex with the Virgin Mary in order to provide Jesus with a physical body.[vi]

Building on the necessity of divinity via endless sex and conception, Mormon doctrine teaches that “Jesus” was also a polygamist and married the two Marys and Martha of the New Testament, producing children with them. This was necessary for him to do, they say, in order to become a divine being because the LDS doctrine of exaltation requires procreation in order to attain godhood. This is readily seen in the writing of Mormon apostle, Bruce R. McConkie, where he says:

Of those who enter the Lord’s order of matrimony and who keep their covenants…the Lord says: “They shall pass by the angels, and the gods…to their exaltation and glory in all things…which glory shall be a fulness and a continuation of the seeds forever and ever.” That is to say, eternal life consists of two things: (1) the continuation of the family unit in eternity, which means a continuation of the seeds or the everlasting begetting of children; and (2) the receipt of the fulness of the glory of the Father, which is all power in heaven and on earth.[vii]
In his journal, dated July 22, 1883, LDS apostle, Wilford Woodruff, reaffirmed this commonly held belief by LDS leaders that Jesus was married[viii] and Mormon Apostle Orson Hyde went even further, actually quoting the famous Bible story of the marriage at Cana in Galilee (John 2:1–11) to suggest that it was Jesus who was joined in matrimony that day. Hyde writes:

Now there was actually a marriage; and if Jesus was not the bridegroom on that occasion, please tell who was. If any man can show this, and prove that it was not the Savior of the world, then I will acknowledge I am in error. We say it was Jesus Christ who was married, to be brought into the relation whereby he could see his seed, before he was crucified.[ix]
Mormon Apostle Orson Pratt continues this profane belief, writing:
One thing is certain, that there were several holy women that greatly loved Jesus—such as Mary, and Martha her sister, and Mary Magdalene; and Jesus greatly loved them, and associated with them much; and when He arose from the dead, instead of showing Himself to His chosen witnesses, the Apostles, He appeared first to these women, or at least to one of them—namely, Mary Magdalene. Now it would be natural for a husband in the resurrection to appear first to his own dear wives, and afterwards show himself to his other friends. If all the acts of Jesus were written, we no doubt should learn that these beloved women were His wives.[x]
These Da Vinci Code-like doctrines are just the tip of the sacrilegious iceberg and even include the story of Italian fascist dictator Benito Mussolini, a genocidal confederate of Hitler, who was given the Mormon “baptism for the dead” and made a Saint in the LDS Church. Why? Because he shared the Mormon belief that Jesus Christ was married and procreated a line of descendants inclusive of himself and, of course, according to LDS sources, Joseph Smith.
Mormonism, Freemasonry and Transhumanism
Joseph Smith, the founder of LDS, was a known occult practitioner in his home town, and his involvement in Freemasonry has been thoroughly documented. When former Wheaton College President, Dr. Jonathan Blanchard, wrote his treatise exposing Scottish Rite Masonry concerning the thirteenth degree, he included:
The power of this degree, long as it has befooled its thousands, is the power of Mormonism, of Alchemy, of Astrology, of Spiritism, Mesmerism and whatever holds the mind steady for Satan to demoralize it. It is the power of that spirit whose coming is with lying wonders. The wonders may be real, but they land men in the lie, that they may be saved without Christ.[xi]

Vatican Reeling As Pope Francis Admits There Is An Army Of Over 8,000 Pedophile Priests

Pope Francis was quoted as saying there are around 8,000 pedophile priests stationed around the globe

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.” 2 Timothy 4:1-3
In a BBC interview that the Vatican is struggling to spin, Pope Francis took the highly unusual step of actually admitting that there are thousands and thousands of pedophile priests in the Catholic Church worldwide. By their estimates about 8,000. This mind-numbing admission has sent shock-waves through the highest levels of the Vatican system.
pope-francis-admits-2-percent-of-all-catholic-priests-are-pedophiles
Many survivors of abuse by priests are angry at what they see as the Vatican’s failure to punish senior officials who have been accused of covering up scandals.

In the interview, Pope Francis was quoted as saying that the 2% estimate came from advisers. It would represent around 8,000 child-abusing priests out of a global number of about 414,000. While the incidence of pedophilia as a psychiatric disorder in the general population is not accurately known, some estimates have put it at less than five percent.
“Among the 2% who are pedophiles are priests, bishops and cardinals. Others, more numerous, know but keep quiet. They punish without giving the reason,” Pope Francis was quoted as saying.
Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi denied that Pope Francis had said that there were cardinals who were pedophiles. Father Lombardi also denied that these were the Pope’s exact words.

Blood on the Altar - The Coming War Between Christan vs. Christian - Part 11

by Larry Spargimino

PART 11 - AS WAS PROPHESIED: DAYS
OF LOT BECOME LINE IN THE SAND

s
This past Thursday, the top legislative body of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) voted by large margins to recognize same-sex marriage "as Christian" in the church constitution, adding language that marriage can be the union of "two people," not just "a man and a woman."
This is the latest in a landslide of "Christian" organizations positioning themselves against traditional, bible-based morality.

How did we get to this point and what role will it play in the Antichrist's Christian vs. Christian war?

In 1987, two homosexual political strategists, Marshall K. Kirk and Erastes Pill, published an article titled “The Overhauling of Straight America.” An important part of their strategy was to avoid trying to persuade fundamental churches in the hopes that they would moderate their opposition to homosexuality, but rather to try to reach churches that would perhaps waffle on their views. “We can use talk to muddy the moral waters. This means publicizing support for gays by more moderate churches, raising theological objections of our own about conservative interpretations of biblical teachings, and exposing hatred and inconsistency.”[i]
Since the publication of “The Overhauling of Straight America,” this strategy has worked extremely well:

The California Council of Churches, representing twenty-one member denominations, elected as its president the “Reverend” Gwynne Guibord, an open lesbian.
In Dallas, Texas, a $35-million “church” facility, called the Cathedral of Hope, was dedicated as the world’s “gay and lesbian mecca”: a symbol of “gay Christianity” equivalent in the eyes of its creators to Vatican City for Catholics and Salt Lake City for Mormons.
The Reverend Troy Perry, founder of the three-hundred-“church”-strong homosexual denomination called the Metropolitan Community Church, was appointed to the board of trustees of Chicago Theological Seminary and invited to lead chapel service at Yale Divinity School.
Soulforce, the “gay Christian” pressure group, now with chapters in many states, gained national publicity for its campaign against “spiritual violence” (i.e., failure to affirm homosexuality as normal) by physically invading the Southern Baptist Convention on June 11, 2002. Anti-Baptist “civil disobedience” tactics have continued, including a March 26, 2007, incident in which a dozen homosexual activists were arrested for staging a sit-in at the office of Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
In 2008, the bishops of the Episcopal Church in California actively campaigned against Proposition 8, which defined marriage as only between one man and one woman in the California Constitution.[ii]
Because of the lack of training and commitment to the authority of the Bible, many churches and congregations easily transition from nominally Bible believing to strong supporters of the gay lifestyle. “Almost inevitably the congregation yields to pressure and changes its status to an ‘affirming’ one in which homosexuality is deemed morally neutral or a positive good.”[iii]

In a report titled “Case against Anti-Gay Minister Scott Lively Still Being Pursued,” we read:
On Feb. 24, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni signed that country’s Anti-Homosexuality Bill into law. The law, according to executive Director for the Center for Constitutional Rights [CCR], Vincent Warren, instantly outlaws the ability of LGBT people to advocate for their rights. [Vincent] Warren says…that “such a fundamental denial of rights to an entire class of people is illegal under international law as well as the Ugandan constitution.” For that reason the CCR is continuing to pursue the anti-gay minister Scott Lively for the role he played in getting the legislation passed.[iv]
Compounding the tension is the fact that some pastors who have taken a stand for the support of traditional marriage have backtracked and “repented.” This makes those pastors and churches that don’t “repent” of their position and maintain a biblical stance look very intolerant and vicious. Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church fame publicly stated that he regrets supporting Proposition 8, California’s anti-gay “marriage” proposition.

Conservative Evangelical pastor Rick Warren expressed regret for instructing his congregation to support Proposition 8, California’s constitutional ban on same-sex marriage.… Warren attempted to downplay his endorsement of the provision, claiming that he intended to communicate his private support to church members and was not trying to take a “public” position on the issue.[v]
Warren was interviewed by HuffPost Live’s Marc Lamon Hill. Evidently, Warren teaches two messages, one for the church and another for the world. The following is part of the transcript:
WARREN: I never made a single statement on Prop 8 until the week before. In my own church, some members say, “Where do we stand on this?” I released a video to my own congregation…
HILL: When you have a church of 20,000 people and you have a book that 32 million people have read and that 60 million people have accessed, to say, “I was just giving a message…”
WARREN: You’re exactly right, Marc, and I learned a lesson from that. What I learned from that is that anything I say privately is now public. And I actually learned from that mistake.… Everyone took that to mean I was pontificating to the whole world.
HILL: If you could do it again, would you not have made that statement a week before Prop 8?
WARREN: I would not have. I would not have made that statement. Because I wanted to talk to my own people. As a duty, as a shepherd, I’m responsible for those who put themselves under my care. I’m not responsible for everybody else.[vi]

As the interview continued Warren reiterated his position that he was against same-sex couples, and stated that while “it’s not a sin to love somebody, it might be a sin to have sex with them.”[vii]

Warren wanted to take some of the pressure off, but his liberal critics weren’t merciful and present him as confused and vacillating. “Warren seemed to back away from his endorsement in 2009, telling Larry King that he never once even gave an endorsement of the proposition. Now that the majority of Americans consistently support marriage equality, he regrets that people actually paid attention to his anti-gay views.”[viii]

HuffPost Live host Josh Hepps quoted from Joel Osteen’s new book: “It doesn’t matter who likes you or who doesn’t like you, all that matters is God likes you. He accepts you, he approves of you.” Zepps followed up by asking if that included homosexuals. “Absolutely,” Osteen insisted. “I believe that God has breathed his life into every single person. We’re all on a journey. Nobody’s perfect.”[ix]
Osteen pastors a congregation of forty-five thousand and stated that all people must be acknowledged for who they are. He expressed reluctance to “categorize” sin. “I believe every person is made in the image of God, and you have to accept them as they are, on their journey. I’m not here to be preaching hate, pushing people down.
