Kindling 01 | Life - The Fuel Project

More from the Fuel Project on what it means to live out the Christian life contrasted against what our culture teaches us is a full life in this world.  Needless to say, to follow Jesus means you must be ready to fight, to fight for your own faith, to fight to follow the Lord, to fight for the Truth in this world.

Kindling is a series of short films designed to inform, inspire and ignite action within Christian small groups.

Join with a network of these small groups around the world as we embark on a journey to rediscover what it means to be a New Testament

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 44 - Conclusion)

We must never forget, suffering comes before glory, the Antichrist comes before Jesus Christ.  So get ready....

In this final part we reflect that for all it's strange and brutal imagery, the Book of Revelation is ultimately a book of hope. One that tells us that while things will be difficult for a while, in the end, it will all be worth it.

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 43 - Jesus' Message)

As Revelation comes to a close Jesus' signs off the book with a personal message. This message tells us that:

- Revelation is relevant
- Revelation is important.

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 42 - The New Earth Will Be More)

No doubt, the world to come (for believers) will be more than any eye has seen, ear has heard or heart has imagined...1 Corinthians 2:9

Popular depictions of the life to come are often cartoonish and unappealing. Consequently, we can be robbed of our excitement and hope for the future as we picture an eternal life that is somehow LESS than this one. What we need to start realising however, is that the next life will be MORE. More in every sense...

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 41 - The New Earth)

Many believe that Christians will live in a formless, cloudy heaven for all eternity but that's not what the Bible tells us. Here in Revelation we are told in detail that after he has dealt with evil, God will create a brand new earth for us. This new world will be every bit as real and tangible as the current one. With nations and cities and mountains and trees and food to enjoy. Just like the current world, the new one will have a new Jerusalem as its centrepiece. And once again, that's God's focus as he gives us a glimpse of what's to come...

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 40 - Judgement Day)

One day you will come before the throne of God for judgement and only one thing will matter - whether you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Is your name written in the Book of Life?

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 39 - The Return of the King)

Jesus returns and the battle of Armageddon takes place. The Antichrist and false prophet are defeated, Satan is thrown into prison, and Jesus and his bride rule over the earth for a thousand year period...

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 37 - The Fall of Babylon)

I would disagree at this point with the idea that Jerusalem is the prophetic Babylon spoken of in scripture.  She certainly won't face an eternal desolation, as she is quite near the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ at this point in time.  So it must be another city...a city that fits all the descriptions of Revelation 18.  One city jumps out as a prime candidate...one where you sail past the welcome sign of entering the city of Babylon (New York that is) as you sail into her harbor...one that certainly fits the descriptions of Revelation 18.  Is this certain?  I can't say that.  But is it likely?  I think so...

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 36 - The Great Prostitute)

Much discussion has been made over what city, what place is Babylon.  Here's one more view.

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 31 - The Islamic Messiah and Prophet)

All major world religions are currently waiting for a Messiah.  However, the similarities between the Muslim Messiah and the biblical description of the Antichrist are especially striking....

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 30 - The Erosion of Privacy)

Will people ever agree to the kind of invasion of privacy that the mark of the Beast represents?  Will they ever agree to be stamped with a number like a commodity?  We may find it hard to believe...but we are already halfway there...

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 29 - The Economic System and the Mark of the Beast)

The Bible tells us that in the Antichrist's global empire, the false prophet will initiate an economy controlled by a mark on the forehead or wrist. Here we explore how this concept is already starting to take shape in our world.

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 28 - The False Prophet)

I have to lean toward the current Pope (just check out the False Prophet link on the right), but I'm open to other options.  We should be looking though, as the Earth appears to be going through some major birth pangs.

The Antichrist will have a right-hand man who the Bible refers to as The False Prophet. The False Prophet will consolidate the Antichrist's authority by performing miracles, setting up an idol of the Antichrist, and directing people to worship the Antichrist.

Revelation: The Fuel Project Guide (Part 27 - The Identity of the Antichrist)

I still can't discount the work of Tim Cohen in "The Antichrist and a Cup of Tea".  Lots of good reference work done in his propositions.  It was common for believers in the early church to speculate, and Emperors Nero and Diocletian were quite popular in their time.  Later the Pope became the obvious choice.  Intelligent speculation is not a bad thing.  It just may not be correct, at least not yet...

Many people have tried and failed to identify the Antichrist throughout the centuries...

Revelation: The Fuel Project (Part 26 - The Antichrist's Rule)

Revelation tells us that the Antichrist will have a period of domination where he will be able to act with absolute power, without opposition, for 42 months.
