Mascons (massive concentrations of gravity) were mentioned in a previous article. While these phenomena are clearly not understood, having intense areas of gravity disrupts the smooth spin through space of our planet. Like a top that is spinning but is unevenly balanced, large "wobbles" begin to creep in. Remember this verse when Jesus was telling His disciples the signs of His coming and the end of the age: "Mens hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. (Luke 21:26)
