Just a couple of videos showing some of the publicly revealed technology that is current. Which always begs the question about the really advanced stuff that governments and corporations are keeping to themselves. The visual effect with this first one is a taste of "uncanny valley".

The Japanese already have a number of robots in this category that they have sold in private sales to individuals. The visuals again define for us the uncanny valley, or the place where our minds struggle to process what we see and hear with the reality of dealing with something artificial.
