Apocalypse Now? Twyman Says Boehner’s Invite to Pope Proves End Is Near

By Bridget Bowman

Is it  it the end of the world if the Pope addresses Congress.

Rocky Twyman, founder of the Pray at the Pump Movement, sure thinks so.

In a press release Monday, Twyman detailed how Speaker John A. Boehner’s recent invitation to Pope Francis to address a joint session of Congress is a sign that the apocalypse is coming.

But, according to Twyman, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.  “This new Pope symbolizes a new era of peace and prosperity for the United States that will culminate in heaven,” he said.

Twyman argues that apocalyptic prophesies predict a resurgence of the Catholic Church prior to the end of the world, and Boehner’s invitation along with President Obama’s visit to the Vatican at the end of March, prove the Church is reuniting.

HOH last caught up with Twyman in July when he was attempting to persuade Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., to join his effort to bring Pope Francis to Washington so he could perform an exorcism on Congress.

Twyman hopes the Pope does just that if he accepts Boehner’s invitation.

“This new Jesuit Pope holds the key to healing the political wounds that have been created by the partisan infighting on Capitol Hill that has plagued this Congress and the White House,” said Twyman.

In his statement, Twyman also expressed hope that that the president would host a “Bipartisan White House Prayer Summit” with the pope, which would include religious leaders including Billy Graham, the Dalai Lama, Joel Osteen, and T.D. Jakes.
