The seventh installment in our monthly series, the following video compiles footage of 'signs of the times' from around the world during July 2014 - 'earth changes', extreme weather and planetary upheaval.

As geo-political events took a crazy turn in July - with Israel launching its most destructive 'war' on Gaza on the Palestinians since the Nakba, agents of the Western Empire blowing Malaysian Airlines MH17 out of the sky to demonize Putin, and Kiev scaling up its massacre of Eastern Ukrainians - the planet reflected this chaos with even more extreme weather.

Numerous meteor fireballs were seen across swathes of the U.S. and Russia; intense electrical storms pounded the U.S. and Europe; enormous quantities of hail were dumped in places used to scorching heat this time of year; 'tornado season' continued its year-round cycle all over the world; devastating landslides killed hundreds in India and China; people and cattle everywhere were killed by lightning; hurricane-force winds left destruction in Southern Russia and Australia; and just about everywhere was inundated with deluges of rain.

Meanwhile, the planet's EM field has dropped significantly in recent months, while the Sun was practically spotless this month, despite the fact we're currently at Solar Max in Sunspot Cycle 24. July was the coldest in U.S. history, despite record-breaking wildfires and drought in the western half of the country. Between the hail, the downpours, the cold and the storms, farmers everywhere are facing severe losses from crop damage.

Inexplicable mass animal die-offs continue, with dead sea creatures washing up on lakeshores and coastlines around the world. More enormous sinkholes appeared, notably three 'crater-holes' in northern Russia and a 100-feet-wide sinkhole in Florida that witnesses say 'exploded up in the air'. Rounding out the month was an unbelievable series of explosions in Taiwan that gouged whole streets and injured hundreds of people.

Tornadoes in Boston, rivers and seas turning blood red, fire falling from the skies, snow in July, lakes appearing in the Sahara overnight... we are definitely NOT not in Kansas anymore!

The earthquake uptick continues all over the ring of fire. At the center of these changes, the United States deals with historic flooding which was nearly a one-in-500 year event!

Our Changing World

Do you remember ever hearing about strange sounds in the sky before 2011? What are these "sky quakes" and why have they now appeared in almost every city and every community around the globe? While some can be dismissed easily as hoaxes, there are many others which lend credibility to the phenomena.

This presentation takes an emotional journey through recent extreme weather, including floods, tornadoes, and the strongest storm ever recorded - and begs the question is weather becoming increasingly severe? Are we simply becoming desensitized to record breaking weather tragedies because they are more and more frequent?

Footage includes some of the best UFO sightings of 2013 found to date, including a UFO falling from the sky into an Icelandic town, a high speed orb changing trajectories above a highway, and a snake like entity floating through the clouds.

With sky quakes, increasingly catastrophic weather, and stunning UFO encounters - all of which cross lines of culture and nationality - can we now say with certainty that our world is changing?

100,000 cattle perish in South Dakota blizzard

October 15, 2013 – SOUTH DAKOTA – The animals held out as long as they could against the punishing 70-mile-per-hour winds and the blinding snow. Unable to get to safety, thousands of cattle, horses and other animals simply died where they fell—or stood—in the storm that lashed western South Dakota for 24 hours earlier this month, with whipping winds lasting well into the following day. State Senator Al Davis of Nebraska, which was also hit, visited the affected areas last week and estimated that up to 100,000 cattle and other livestock died, he said in a statement. Ranchers are assessing millions of dollars in damages that will affect the region’s economy for years. “Things here are far worse than I anticipated in terms of deaths among cattle,” Davis said. “Livestock losses on the plains of Nebraska, South Dakota and Wyoming are estimated to be between 60,000 and 100,000 head. There are also animals that will sicken and die as time goes on which will add to these numbers.” Though South Dakota is famous for extreme winter weather, that fateful storm seemed to bring all of it at once. Tornadoes, thunder and lightning, high winds and driving snow were reported in Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota, all of which run along the borders of South Dakota’s Indian reservations. The animals and their owners were caught completely unaware by the unseasonable storm, which in a mere three days dumped more snow than the region usually receives for all of October. Ranchers had not yet moved the animals from their summer pastures to their winter areas, where more shelter is available, they said. Further, there was only a 12-hour warning before the storm hit. And the animals had not yet grown their winter coats, which might have helped them cope.

The rolling hills of the prairies create areas that dip and fill with snowdrifts, and many of the animals were found caught in those drifts. Ranchers said most of the cattle died along the fence lines, their calves beside them, as they tried to escape the treacherous conditions. A week later, cattle sunned themselves behind lines of broken trees, and calves frolicked in the grass. But in the same pastures, along the fence line, dead cattle still stood deep in snow, forming a veritable trail of carcasses, Butte County emergency management director Martha Wierzbicki told the Rapid City Journal. Besides calves, the dead included cows that would have delivered calves next year, NBC News noted. And those that lived may very well abort over the winter, Davis said. “Some cows managed to survive the storm by eating pine needles because grass was covered,” the state senator said in his statement, which was posted on the Rapid City Journal site. “This will cause them to abort the calves they are carrying in the next few weeks. This is absolutely, totally devastating,” said rancher Steve Schell to the Rapid City Journal. “This is horrendous.” How many of those animals died on the Pine Ridge Reservation itself has yet to be tallied. With layoffs occurring throughout the tribe in the wake of the U.S government shutdown, and massive power outages caused by the storm, resources have been slim. And ranchers are still searching for cattle that were driven miles away by the high winds. “The government shutdowns have been hard on us,” said Ben Good Buffalo, Lakota, of Red Shirt, South Dakota. –Indian Country (excerpt)

I'm much more concerned about Earth's magnetic field flipping, which has a direct effect on the amount of solar radiation reaching the earth (sun feel unusually intense to anyone else?) as well as lowering the planet's natural defenses against objects like the large meteor that exploded over Russia. First it was thousands of dead pigs floating in the Shanghai water supply (at last estimate over 16,000), then a thousand dead ducks were pulled from a river in the Sichuan province, and now, pushing the meme beyond even its most grotesque boundaries, we learn that five black swans were found floating lifeless on the pond of Anhui University’s old campus in Hefei, traditionally inhabited by a bevy of black swans. From Danwei: "The latest instance of floating dead animals in China – first pigs, then ducks, and now black swans – these mere five black swans became an object of heated discussion on the Internet right after the announcement was made. How did they die? Was it a natural disaster or another man-made one? As Star News tells us today, upon hearing of the news yesterday it immediately sent a journalist to the scene to find out exactly what happened. What he found was just one more filthy pond filled with oily water and garbage."

Ok, maybe there is no deep symbolism mystery to this latest black aflocalypse, which may be explained simply by unprecedented local pollution, unless of course many more "fat tails" continue keeling over in a very literal sense.

However, just when it appeared safe to discard the latest media reports of mass animal aquatic burials, an odd wrinkle appears, one which may tie the proverbial animal apocalypse room together.
Recall that as we have discussed repeatedly, the biggest bogeyman facing China is the importation of blistering hot money sourced by Bernanke and his printing brethren. While China may (or may not) be able to temper real estate inflation which has been the preferred target of inbound capital, the one place the Politburo certainly can not afford a price surge is in the cost of its most popular food product: pork. Should this key diet staple become unaffordable to the hundreds of millions of domestic consumers, the Arab Spring would seem like a balmy walk in the park inside a gated community. Which means that no matter what, the price of pork (and to a smaller extent soy) has to be kept as low as possible, especially with the upcoming delayed aftereffects of last summer's US corn drought which led to a mass liquidation of animals, especially pigs. Recall from last September that "The "mass liquidation" of animals - which Rabobank said will pick up pace in the beginning of 2013 - will contribute to food prices hitting new highs. The cost of pork is expected to rise at the fastest pace - by 31% by the end of June next year." Algos may have forgotten about this very key fact, but China sure hasn't.

So what are the Chinese behind the scenes powers doing about this potentially massive problem? Ironically, they may just be those responsible for the mass pig slayings witnessed in recent weeks. From Wantchinatimes:

The recent incident in which thousands of dead pigs were found floating in Shanghai's main river has further hit pork prices in China, with the sector already experiencing falling demand, according to local media reports.

Weekly data from the country's Ministry of Commerce released on March 20 showed that wholesale prices of pork has fallen for four consecutive weeks as of March 17, with the accumulated decline over the period touching 8%.

Pork prices in the country were undergoing a seasonal decline after Chinese New Year, but the recent scandal has rotted demand, Chinese business news site Caixin said.

Even United States Treasury secretary Jacob Lew ordered vegetarian dumplings instead of dumplings stuffed with pork when he dined out during his recent visit to China.

The Chinese government's guidelines on official conduct, including the restrictions imposed on holding official banquets, is another factor affecting pork demand, driving down prices to levels resembling a crash, Caixin said.

The crimson tide of Chile prawns: Mystery as millions of dead shrimps wash ashore and dye beach bright red

An investigation has been launched after millions of dead shrimp were washed ashore close to two coal-fired power stations on the coast of Chile, turning the beach bright red.

Environmental officials say they are investigating after dead the creatures appeared on a beach in the town of Coronel, some 330 miles south of the capital, Santiago.

Local fishermen have blamed the Bocamina 1 and 2 plants owned by regional power generator Endesa, and the Santa Maria plant controlled by Chilean power company Colbun, which they say have heated the waters, endangering their livelihood.

Mystery: Washed-up shrimps turn the beach red at 'Caleta Rojas' in the twon of Coronel town, some 540 km southwest of Santiago

'I'm 69 years old and started fishing when I was nine but, as a fisherman, I never saw a disaster of this magnitude,' Gregorio Ortega told local Radio Bio Bio.

Hundreds of dead crabs also washed up in the same area over the weekend.

'We're going to be collecting as much evidence as possible to determine if this is an environmental crime,' Ana Maria Aldana, prosecutor for environmental crimes, told state television.

An official at Colbun declined to comment. A spokesman for Endesa said the company was aware of the issue and would issue a statement later.

Chile's energy intensive mining industry is clamouring for more power.

Some analysts say the country must triple its capacity in just 15 years, despite having no domestic oil or natural gas.

Chile imports 97 per cent of its fossil fuels and depends largely on hydropower for electricity, creating a crisis when droughts drain reservoirs or far-away disputes affect fuel imports.

Most Chileans oppose plans to develop a project to power central Chile by damming Patagonian rivers, fearing environmental damage. The HidroAysen venture is 51per cent owned by Endesa and 49 per cent owned by Colbun. Some protests against the project have turned violent.

Dead pigs in China’s Shanghai river now exceed 13,000

The number of dead pigs found in a river running through China’s commercial hub Shanghai has reached more than 13,000, state media said Monday, as mystery deepened over the hogs’ precise origin.

Shanghai had pulled 9,460 pigs out of the Huangpu river, which supplies 22 percent of the city’s drinking water, since the infestation began earlier this month, the Shanghai Daily reported.
Shanghai has blamed farmers in Jiaxing in neighbouring Zhejiang province for dumping pigs which died of disease into the river upstream, where the official Xinhua news agency said another 3,601 dead animals had been recovered so far.

The Jiaxing government has said the area is not the sole source of the carcasses, adding it had found only one producer that could be held responsible.

Shanghai said it had checked farms in its southwestern district of Songjiang, where the pigs were first detected, but found they were not to blame, the Shanghai Daily said.

The scandal has spotlighted China’s troubles with food safety, adding the country’s most popular meat to a growing list of food items rocked by controversy.

Samples of the dead pigs have tested positive for porcine circovirus, a common swine disease that does not affect humans.

“Due to some farming households having a weak recognition of the law, bad habits, and lack of increased supervision and capability for treatment have led to the situation,” the national agriculture ministry’s chief veterinarian Yu Kangzhen said.

Yu attributed a higher mortality rate among pigs to colder weather this spring, though he ruled out an epidemic, the ministry said in statement posted on its website over the weekend.
