Many in the Christian community today aren't aware of the powerful significance of the Last Supper. It was a Passover dinner, honoring God's commandments, yet it was also the institution of the New Covenant (Matthew 26:26-28) through which all believers receive the Holy Spirit and the promise of God's love and guidance right now. Every time we partake of the Lord's Supper today, we are re-enforcing our commitment to faith in all that Jesus accomplished and provided for the church through the New Covenant. Praise God through Whom all blessings come!
