Just a quick note to add to the cavalcade of Tebow articles, especially in light of last weeks excellent performance in leading his Denver Broncos to a playoff upset in overtime over the Pittsburgh Steelers. I appreciate that Tim always thanks his Lord Jesus Christ, in every interview, day after day. He is truly not ashamed of who he is or Whom he believes in.
What I appreciate even more is the way he has handled the criticism, much of it in the form of pure vitriol spilled by numerous reporters and writers. He is truly a polarizing figure because of his close association with Jesus Christ. However in all of the abuses, he responds with true grace. Always positive, always honest, always kind, even when the questions or quotes are not. This alone should be an example to the church today. Tim wins over the hearts of folks daily by the way he acts. He does not act like your typical athlete, but he does act like a Bible based Christian. In the face of an increasingly selfish, rude, mean-spirited and cruel world, let us, God's people, emulate Tim Tebow by showing the same grace he has in difficult times. You have no idea how far such a testimony might reach.
