ISIS Exposed

I still think the prophecy of Zechariah 5:5-11 may be relevant to the emergence of this group. The prophecy speaks of a woman (Mystery Babylon, the Egyptian pagan ISIS) having a house built for it and being established in the land of Shinar, which is modern day Iraq. This may not be the ultimate fulfillment, but the Western medias choice to name the group after the Egyptian pagan goddess Isis is very revealing. No good Moslem would ever join a group named for a pagan goddess. To them, there is only one god, and his name is Allah.

Whether the prophecy is applicable here or not, such a group certainly paves the way for a Jewish Antichrist who will come conquering Israel's enemies.

Lagarfljótsormurinn, the giant serpent rumored to inhabit the lake Lagarfljót near Egilsstaðir in East Iceland truly exists, as announced on Saturday by the majority of a 13-person truth commission established in 2012 by the Fljótsdalshérað municipal council.

The commission was given the task of determining whether a video of the alleged monster shot by Hjörtur E. Kjerúlf, which went viral, was authentic and whether he was entitled to a prize of ISK 500,000 (USD 4,300, EUR 3,300).

"I was told about the commission's conclusion and I'd like to say that I'm extremely pleased to confirm that the majority of the commission was right," Hjörtur told austurfrett.is.

While concluding that Hjörtur's video was authentic, the commission determined that a photo shot by Sigurður Aðalsteinsson, who had also made claim to the prize money, did not show the actual serpent.

Hjörtur shot the footage through his kitchen window at farm Hrafnkelsstaðir in Fljótsdalur early one morning in February 2012.

The video was originally posted on the website of national broadcaster RÚV and, after Iceland Review reported on it, reposted multiple times.

The video has now been watched approximately 8 million times and has prompted film crews from abroad to come to the lake in search of the serpent.

Former mayor of Austur-Hérað promised the prize in 1997 to the person presenting evidence of Lagarfljótsormurinn's existence.

After Hjörtur and Sigurður made claim to the prize, the truth commission was established.

"I've long since lost sight of whether its establishment was serious or a joke but we were given the task of taking a position and finish this project," the commission's chair Stefán Bogi Sveinsson commented.

The commission also recommended further studies of Lagarfjótsormurinn.

In addition, Hjörtur received an ISK 50,000 prize from local tourism cooperative Þjónustusamfélagið Fljótsdalshéraði for having marketed the region as a tourist destination with his video (see above).

Andrew Alexander Bonar Learned the Value of Prayer
I have learned by experience that it is not much labor but much prayer that is the only means to success," said Andrew Bonar. A leader of the revival in Scotland known as the Kilsyth Revival, Andrew knew about success; his secret was that he lived in prayer. "I have been endeavoring to keep up prayer...every hour of the day, stopping my occupation, whatever it is, to pray a little. I seek to keep my soul within the shadow of the throne of grace and Him that sits thereon."

To a friend he wrote, "...rather neglect friends than not pray, rather fast, and lose breakfast, dinner, supper and sleep too -- than not pray."

Andrew was born in Edinburgh on this day, August 29, 1810. His father died when he was just seven. One of his older brothers helped his mother feed the many mouths left without a father. As a boy Andrew did well in school, becoming one of the best Latin students of his day. He was modest about his accomplishments, however. For example, when he won a gold medal, he said nothing about it until his mother asked which student had won it. With a high sense of what it meant to become a minister, he waited two years until he was sure that he was "in Christ" before he began divinity studies. He had tried to become pure enough to enter Christ's kingdom, until at last he realized that he never could but that Christ had met God's expectations in his behalf.

After studying theology at the great university in his home town, Andrew became a minister, first at Collace and then in Glasgow. Like his older brother, Horatius (the hymn writer) he joined the Free Church when it formed in 1843.

Among Andrew's close friends were some of the most notable preachers of the day, including the pure and zealous Robert Murray McCheyne, with whom he traveled to Palestine to see how the Jews fared there. When McCheyne died shortly afterward, Andrew said, "There was no friend whom I loved like him." He penned McCheyne's biography.

Other losses followed: an infant son and his wife. Two years later he recorded in his diary how he nearly broke down in the pulpit remembering his beloved Isabella.

Examples of Andrew's preaching show that it was simple and practical. For example, reminding his listeners that Christ sang a hymn just before he left for Gethsemane, where he would be betrayed, Andrew said, "His last note was a cheerful note, though He knew what was in the future. Much more should ours be so. Let us try unselfishly, like Jesus, to keep our friends from sorrow as long as we can. In the face of difficulties, sing to the Lord. If you have a dread of what is coming, sing, instead of brooding over it."

Andrew wrote several books on Bible topics. From time to time readers sent him letters telling how they were converted through his works. Among his interesting titles was Christ and His Church in the Book of Psalms. He wrote of it, "May the Lord use it to lead many to see their full provision in Christ!" When Andrew died in 1892, he was the last of his siblings to go. He had gathered his children around his bed and read the Bible and prayed with them.

Unusual respiratory virus strikes hundreds of metro kids

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — An unusual respiratory virus is striking children in the metro in big numbers. Children’s Mercy Hospital is hospitalizing 20 to 30 kids a day with the virus. The hospital is as full now as it is at the height of flu season.

This is not the same virus we told you about several weeks ago that can cause meningitis. This one can cause severe breathing trouble. Children’s Mercy has seen more than 300 cases in recent days in kids of all ages.

Preston Sheldon’s mom says he seemed fine when she took him to pre-school Tuesday. But minutes later, the Grain Valley mom got the call. Her three-year-old son was having trouble breathing.
“You could see his ribs, and his stomach was pushing out really hard… I thought it was an asthma attack,” said Pam Sheldon.

But it was a virus that is inundating Children’s Mercy with patients.
“To be at winter census is quite unusual in August obviously. To see a virus we’ve not seen before is unusual, too,” said Dr. Mary Anne Jackson, an infectious disease specialist.

It is enterovirus 68. The doctor says it’s well-known around the world, but cases have not been seen in Kansas City before.

“We have about 10 to 15 percent who have severe illness from this virus which actually acts like asthma exacerbations,” said Dr. Jackson.

She says about two-thirds of the hospitalized cases are in children like Preston who have a history of asthma or wheezing. But others are having trouble breathing, too. She says the virus will produce an ordinary cold in many kids. What should parents watch for?

“The difficulty breathing is a very obvious tip-off sign they need to come into the hospital,” said Dr. Jackson.

John the Baptist Beheaded

For those interested in the more esoteric parts of this story, it has long been said that the Templar Knights of the 12th century used the head of John the Baptist (which had been stolen from it's safekeeping in Constantinople during the fourth crusade) as part of their occult worship ceremonies. Let the reader decide for themselves.

Herod Antipas smiled and nodded with approval. His step-daughter Salome* swayed and twirled in front of him and his birthday-party guests, her graceful figure filling them with longing. Her performance done, Herod and the guests applauded. What a dance! Inflamed by his senses and the mood of the moment, Herod cried, "Ask me what you want--up to half my kingdom--and it is yours!" And he swore a great oath to confirm his promise.

As a Tetrarch (ruler of one quarter of a Roman province) Herod was more than able to provide a handsome gift even by first century standards. Would Salome ask for a jeweled necklace? A dowry? A house? Herod and the guests waited to hear her request. The girl herself hesitated. Uncertain what to ask for, she whispered with her mother.

Down in the dungeons of Herod's fortress (named Machaerus) a man's fate was about to be decided. John the Baptizer was under lock and key in one of those gloomy holds. The cause was this: he had rebuked Herod for stealing another man's wife--Herodias. This woman had been married to Herod's quiet half-brother, Phillip. Herodias was furious, and convinced Herod to arrest John. Herod was only too willing; he was suspicious of the large crowds John attracted.

However, once Herod got John in his lockup, he talked with him and found he liked the guy. He didn't understand what John was saying about holiness and salvation, but it seemed to be something he should hear. Instead of executing John, he gave him visitation privileges. Execution would be a bad idea, anyway: John had a lot of followers; why make them mad and risk rebellion?

Salome approached Herod. Evidently she had made up her mind. The guests and the king turned to hear what she would ask.

"Give me now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter!" said the girl.

Even that reckless, hardened lot must have drawn sharp breaths at the gruesome request. How quickly the indulgent mood melted. Did Herod's face change? Here was an awkward demand! Used to thinking of people as objects, used to beheading men at a whim, it never occurred to him to say, "An incorruptible prophet like John the Baptizer is worth more than my whole kingdom."
Looking around at his guests, he saw only one thing. If he was to save face, he must fulfill his promise. He ordered the execution. According to a long-standing tradition, John was beheaded on this day, August 29, probably around the year A.D. 28.

What happened to John's head, we do not know. His disciples came and buried the body. Remains alleged to be his were later taken to Alexandria, Egypt and placed in a specially built church.
When John's cousin Jesus heard the news, it hit him as hard as it would any of us. He tried to get away by himself for a time. John, who had preached Christ's coming and prepared for his messianic ministry was needlessly dead in the prime of his life.

We have no sure knowledge of Salome's fate. Herod and Herodias stuck together, performing desperate and diabolical deeds until they died.

* The name Salome is not biblical, but is given by tradition.

Satan Does Not Hold the Keys of Death

And this should greatly encourage all believers...

We have different vocations with respect to the jobs and tasks God gives us in this life. But we all share in the vocation of death. Every one of us is called to die. That vocation is as much a calling from God as is a “call” to the ministry of Christ. Sometimes the call comes suddenly and without warning. Sometimes it comes with advance notification. But it comes to all of us. And it comes from God.

I am aware that there are teachers who tell us that God has nothing to do with death. Death is seen strictly as the fiendish device of the Devil. All pain, suffering, disease, and tragedy are blamed on the Evil One. God is absolved of any responsibility. This view is designed to make sure that God is free of blame for anything that goes wrong in this world. “God always wills healing,” we are told. If that healing does not happen, then the fault lies with Satan—Or with us. Death, they say, is not in the plan of God. It represents a victory for Satan over the realm of God.

Such views may bring temporary relief to the afflicted. But they are not true. They have nothing to do with biblical Christianity. They are intended to absolve God of any blame, but they contradict His sovereignty.

Yes, there is a Devil. He is our archenemy. He will do anything in his power to bring misery into our lives. But Satan is not sovereign. Satan does not hold the keys of death.

When Jesus appeared in a vision to the apostle John on the Isle of Patmos, He identified Himself with these words: “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forever-more. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death” (Rev. 1:17–18).
Jesus holds the keys to death, and Satan cannot snatch those keys out of His hand. Christ’s grip is firm. He holds the keys because He owns the keys. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Him. That includes all authority over life and death. The angel of death is at His beck and call.

World history has witnessed the emergence of many forms of religious dualism. Dualism affirms the existence of two equal and opposite forces. These forces are variously called good and evil, God and Satan, Yin and Yang. The two forces are locked in eternal combat. Since they are equal as well as opposite, the conflict goes on forever, with neither side ever gaining the upper hand. The world is doomed to serve as the eternal battleground between these hostile forces. We are the victims of their struggle, the pawns in their eternal chess game.

Dualism is on a collision course with Christianity. The Christian faith has no stock in dualism. Satan may be opposed to God, but he is by no means equal to God. Satan is a creature; God is the Creator. Satan is potent; God is omnipotent. Satan is knowledgeable and crafty; God is omniscient. Satan is localized in his presence; God is omnipresent. Satan is finite; God is infinite. The list could go on. But it is clear from Scripture that Satan is not an ultimate force in any sense.

We are not doomed to an ultimate conflict with no hope of resolution. The message of Scripture is one of victory—full, final, and ultimate victory. It is not our doom that is certain, but Satan’s. His head has been crushed by the heel of Christ, who is the Alpha and Omega.

Above all suffering and death stands the crucified and risen Lord. He has defeated the ultimate enemy of life. He has vanquished the power of death. He calls us to die, a call to obedience in the final transition of life. Because of Christ, death is not final. It is a passage from one world to the next.

Examining the nightly news in the run up to almost any military intervention will find scores of talking heads crying for blood to flow in the streets of some city the name of which they just learned to pronounce. Once the bullets start flying, those that clamored for war will still be safely on set bringing you up-to-the-minute coverage of the carnage while their stock in Raytheon climbs.

It’s pretty self-explanatory and while it may be hard to swallow, it’s certainly true. All it takes is a quick look at who benefited from the recent wars waged by the United States to see Orwell’s quip take life.

My most prized books are a collection of history books from around the world. I have an Iraqi book that recounts the glory of Saddam Hussein’s victory over the United States in 1991. I have books from three different nations claiming that one of their citizens was the first to fly. As some of the most powerful nations in the world agree to let certain facts be “forgotten,” the trend will only get worse. History is written by the victor, and the victor will never be asked if he told the truth.

August 2014 AFRICA – A third top doctor has died from Ebola in Sierra Leone, a government official said Wednesday, as health workers tried to determine how a fourth scientist also contracted the disease before being evacuated to Europe. The announcements raised worries about Sierra Leone’s fight against Ebola, which already has killed more than 1,400 people across West Africa. The World Health Organization said it was sending a team to investigate how the epidemiologist now undergoing treatment in Germany may have contracted the disease that kills more than half its victims. “The international surge of health workers is extremely important and if something happens, if health workers get infected and it scares off other international health workers from coming, we will be in dire straits,” said Christy Feig, director of WHO communications. Dr. Sahr Rogers had been working at a hospital in the eastern town of Kenema when he contracted Ebola, said Sierra Leonean presidential adviser Ibrahim Ben Kargbo on Wednesday. Two other top doctors already have succumbed to Ebola since the outbreak emerged there earlier this year, including Dr. Sheik Humarr Khan, who also treated patients in Kenema. Rogers’ death marks yet another setback for Sierra Leone, a country still recovering from years of civil war, where there are only two doctors per 100,000 people, according to WHO. By comparison, there are 245 doctors per 100,000 in the United States. The Senegalese epidemiologist who was evacuated to Germany had been doing surveillance work for the U.N. health agency, said Feig, the WHO spokeswoman.
The position involves coordinating the outbreak response by working with lab experts, health workers and hospitals, but does not usually involve direct treatment of patients. “He wasn’t in treatment centers normally,” she said by telephone from Sierra Leone. “It’s possible he went in there and wasn’t properly covered, but that’s why we’ve taken this unusual measure — to try to figure out what happened.” WHO said late Tuesday that it was pulling out its team from the eastern Sierra Leonean city of Kailahun, where the epidemiologist working with the organization was recently infected. The team was exhausted and the added stress of a colleague getting sick could increase the risk of mistakes, said Daniel Kertesz, the organization’s representative in the country. Canada also announced late Tuesday it was evacuating a three-member mobile laboratory team from Sierra Leone after people in their hotel were diagnosed with Ebola. The Public Agency of Canada said none of the team members was showing any signs of illness but that they would remain in voluntary isolation during the 21-day incubation period. Health workers have been especially vulnerable because of their close proximity to patients, who can spread the virus through bodily fluids. Inspired by the article on Pierre Viret I thought I would post on the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre.  Led by the vicious cunning of the Jesuits, the massive protestant movement in France was crushed out in the most successful act of the Roman Catholic counter-reformation.  The result was one of the largest massacres of Christians in modern history, not unlike what we are witnessing today in Iraq.

Believe it or not.....the ancient Irish records talk about a "Senior Patrick" who died on August 24, 465. This, we believe, is the home-going date of the Real St. Patrick versus March 17 for the death of Palladius!!

August 24, 1572, was the date of the infamous St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre in France. On that day, over 400 years ago, began one of the most horrifying holocausts in history. The glorious Reformation, begun in Germany on October 31, 1517, had spread to Franceand was joyfully received. A great change had come over the people as industry and learning began to flourish, and so rapidly did the Truth spread that over a third of the population embraced the Reformed Christian Faith.

However, alarm bells began to ring at the Vatican! France was her eldest daughter and main pillarthe chief source of money and power. . . . King Pepin of the Franks (the father of Charlemagne) had given the Papal States to the Pope almost 1000 years earlier. Almost half the real estate in the country was owned by the clergy.

Meanwhile, back in Paris, the King of France and his Court spent their time drinking, reveling and carousing. The Court spiritual advisera Jesuit priest  urged them to massacre the Protestantsas penance for their many sins! To catch the Christians off-guard every token of peace, friendship, and ecumenical good will was offered.

Suddenlyand without warningthe devilish work commenced. Beginning at Paris, the French soldiers and the Roman Catholic clergy fell upon the unarmed people, and blood flowed like a river throughout the entire country. Men, women, and children fell in heaps before the mobs and the bloodthirsty troops. In one week, almost 100,100 Protestants perished. The rivers of France were so filled with corpses that for many months no fish were eaten. In the valley of the Loire, wolves came down from the hills to feel upon the decaying bodies of Frenchmen. The list of massacres was as endless as the list of the dead!

Many were imprisonedmany sent as slaves to row the King's shipsand some were able to escape to other countries. . . . The massacres continued for centuries. The best and brightest people fled to Germany, Switzerland, England, Ireland and eventually America and brought their incomparable manufacturing skills with them. . . . France was ruined. . . . Wars, famine, disease and poverty finally led to the French Revolutionthe Guillotinethe Reign of Terrorthe fall of the Roman Catholic Monarchyatheismcommunism etc., etc.
When news of the Massacre reached the Vatican there was jubilation! Cannons roaredbells rungand a special commemorative medal was struckto honor the occasion! The Pope commissioned Italian artist Vasari to paint a mural of the Massacrewhich still hangs in the Vatican!

The Huguenots won a short period of relief from persecution with the ascension of Henry IV to the throne. The Edict of Nantes gave full freedom to his Protestants subjects. The signing of this Edict inaugurated an era of peace and great prosperity for France. However, for granting his subjects liberty of conscience, the king was stabbed to death by a Jesuit named Ravaillac. This Edict of Toleration was revoked in 1685, and a new storm of persecution ensued. The exodus began again with over a million Huguenots fleeing France to avoid certain torture and death.

The descendants of the survivors that reached America were determined that this tragedy should not occur here. Many of them were prominent in the founding of the country. They knew that an armed citizenry in France would have prevented this tragedy from ever happeningand as a resultthey gave us the First and Second Amendments to the Constitution. They knew that freedom of religion and an armed citizenry go hand in hand:

The French Protestants were called Huguenots: President George Washington had a Huguenot ancestor, as did at least 5 other Presidents: John Adams, John Quincy Adams, John Tyler, James Garfield, and Theodore Roosevelt. A Huguenot refugee named Apollos de Revoire settled in Boston, and had a son who signed his name Paul Revere! Remember his famous midnight ride? Three members of the Continental Congress - Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and Elias Boudinot were Huguenots. Other great names include Francis Marrion, General George Patton, Clair Chennault, Admiral Dewey, Du Ponts, Henry Thoreau, Longfellow etc., etc. A Huguenot colony was founded in Florida in 1562 (years before the English landed), but was later destroyed by Spanish raiders.

Pilots spot ‘creepy’ red glow under the Pacific Ocean possibly after underwater volcano eruption

What is this 'creepy' red glow under the ocean?
The red glow was spotted inbetween Russia and Alaska

Two pilots may have thought they were seeing an underwater version of the northern lights when they spotted this strange red glow coming from under the Pacific Ocean.

The spooky lights were seen south of the Kamchatka peninsula in Russia during a flight from Hong Kong to Anchorage, Alaska.

As of yet, no-one can explain the lights, although the pilots believe they might have flown over an underwater volcano as it erupted.

Dutch pilot JPC van Heijst said he and his co-pilot first noticed a flash of light on the horizon, before flying over the deep red glow 20 minutes later, in what he called the ‘creepiest thing’ he had ever experience in his flight career.

No other planes were nearby to confirm the sighting

He said: ‘The closer we got, the more intense the glow became, illuminating the clouds and sky below us in a scary orange glow, in a part of the world where there was supposed to be nothing but water.’

The pilots, remembering hearing news of earthquakes in Iceland, Chile and California before they took off, began to worry that they would encounter an ash cloud.

Luckily the plane experienced no problems during the remained of their flight, and Captain van Heijst now hopes the red glow will come with a silver lining.

He told Mail Online: ‘Now I’m just hoping that if a new island has been formed there [from the eruption], at least it can be named after me as the official discoverer.

Pierre Viret, The Forgotten Protestant Leader

Viret is largely forgotten in history because of the Jesuit led massacre of French Protestants (the Huguenots) in France. in the 16th century.  Had the reformation been allowed to continue it's growth in France as it did in Germany, Holland and England, Viret likely would have been remembered alongside Luther, Calvin and Zwingli.

Pierre Viret was the most popular preacher in sixteenth century France. Among the cities which invited him to preach were Paris, Orleans, Avignon, Montauban, and Montpellier. He was established at Nimes at the time. Pierre accepted Montpellier's offer, believing Christ wanted him there; and he converted almost the whole faculty of the city's medical college to Reformation Christianity. But unlike Calvin, Knox and other reformers, Pierre Viret's name gets almost no recognition today.
Curiously enough, he was not even a Frenchman. He was born in the little Swiss town of Orbe in 1511. His parents were poor, but Pierre took advantage of a free education to begin his life of scholarship. Eventually he attended the University of Paris. As in Switzerland, some of his teachers were Lutheran sympathizers and he became a convert to Reformation faith.

William Farel, the same man who later convinced John Calvin to become a preacher, convinced Pierre too. From then on, his whole life was dedicated to godliness and spreading the gospel. He was so effective that Catholic enemies tried to stab him to death; he was severely wounded. Later, Catholics poisoned his spinach. He survived, but he suffered stomach problems ever afterward.
A beautiful thing about Pierre was that these ugly attacks and the riots that accompanied his sermons, did not warp his spirit. To the contrary, he preached just as lovingly to his enemies as ever. Although he was staunchly Protestant, he labored to bring about reconciliation between Catholics and Protestants.

For many years he worked in Lausanne and Geneva before beginning his work in France. Thousands attended his sermons. Whole regions came to Christ under his teaching. Although we often describe the Huguenots as French Calvinists, many were actually converts to Pierre's slightly different teachings. (For instance, he viewed the Lord's Supper as more symbolic than Calvin did.) When Pierre was at Lyons in Southern France, Catholics regained control of that region. On this day, August 27, 1565 Pierre received a notice telling him to get out. He went to Navarre which was ruled by the Protestant queen, Jeanne d'Albret.

A few years later, Pierre and eleven other ministers were captured by the Catholics. Seven were executed. Pierre, however, was allowed to live because the commander had heard so much good about him from other Catholics.

Pierre suffered many things in his life. His first wife and his children by her died of plague. His second wife and two children also died of plague. These griefs made him a sympathetic figure to those with similar sufferings. Despite ill health, Pierre preached countless sermons and wrote about fifty books. He died at the age of sixty, worn out with hard work and suffering.

What in the world is that young man doing? Surly he is not trying to steal from the church--It is full of people!" Had you walked by the chapel of St. Austell in Cornwall, you might have seen the oddest sight: a ruddy youngster, dressed as a Methodist preacher crawling into the packed chapel through a window! If you asked one of the people pressing against the door what was up, you would have been informed that this was common. The "little boy" was the notable Methodist preacher Adam Clarke, who, despite his youthful looks, was nearer thirty than twenty. His chapel was often so crowded, he could only get in by crawling through the window. In any given week, somewhere on his circuit, he could expect to draw such a crowd that he would have to preach out of doors.

Today, those who know the name of Adam Clarke usually do so because of the Bible commentary he wrote. In his own day, he was one of the best known and most beloved Methodist circuit writers.
Adam was born in Ireland around 1760. His mother was a Scottish Presbyterian, his father a Church of England man and for each of them faith was important. The boy was deeply concerned about religion, too. When he was six, he and his friend James who was about the same age were walking in the fields. They began to talk about religious truth. "Oh Addy, Addy," exclaimed James, "what a dreadful thing is eternity. And how dreadful to be put into hell-fire, and to be burned there forever and ever!" Both began to cry and ask God to forgive their sins. Adam remembered it as his first true sense of conviction.

At school, Adam showed little desire to learn his Latin. One day teacher and students ridiculed him. Humiliated, Adam took up his book with a new attitude, applying himself as never before. By the time he completed his commentary, (which was one of the best for its time on the Old Testament), he knew twenty languages, including Hebrew, Persian, and other Middle Eastern tongues.
Adam first heard a Methodist sermon when he was in his late teens. Once again, he came under great conviction of his sin and separation from God. He went into an open field and prayed earnestly for God to save him. Nothing happened. He had no peace. Adam started to leave in despair when he heard a voice say, "Try Jesus." He went back to his place of prayer and called to Jesus. At once he was flooded with peace and joy.
He began telling everyone about Jesus, walking from village to village, asking neighbor after neighbor if he might read the Bible and pray with them. He trained at a Methodist school--where he was humiliated and forced to live in a closet by school masters who didn't accept him. That changed when John Wesley visited the school, examined him, and took his side. It is well he did, for Adam became the most notable Methodist in the generation after Wesley, leading England's Methodists.
When Adam became a circuit rider, he studied as he rode his horse. He married and was happy with his wife and family. Because his wife was of a higher class than he, it took the persuasion of John Wesley himself to convince the parents to allow their daughter to wed a circuit rider!

Adam died on this day, August 26, 1832. His commentary, based on a deep knowledge not only of scripture, but of its languages, lives on and greatly affected the rise of the sanctification doctrines of American Methodists and holiness groups. Typical of his style is this pithy comment on 1 Thessalonians 4:3, where Paul writes, "This is the will of God, even your sanctification." Adam comments, "God has called you to holiness; he requires that you should be holy, for without holiness, none can see the Lord."

To Protect Your Heart, Your Sodium to Potassium Ratio Is More Important Than Your Overall Salt Intake

Salt is the latest health/food villain that has been magically uncovered by the massive food establishment here in the US. While salt is being mandated out of foods in grocery stores and restaurants, chemicals unknown take it's place. And yet the body needs salt to function correctly, the brain needs salt so we can think clearly, so what is the truth?

The vilification of salt is similar to that of fat. Just as there are healthy fats that are necessary for optimal health and unhealthy fats that cause health problems, there are healthy and unhealthy types of salt. The devil’s in the details, as they say, and this is definitely true when it comes to salt and fat.
Salt provides two elements – sodium and chloride – both of which are essential for life. Your body cannot make these elements on its own, so you must get them from your diet. However, not all salts are created equal.
  • Natural unprocessed salt, such as sea salt and Himalayan salt, contains about 84 percent sodium chloride (just under 37 percent of which is pure sodium1, 2). The remaining 16 percent are naturally-occurring trace minerals, including silicon, phosphorus, and vanadium 
  • Processed (table) salt contains 97.5 percent sodium chloride (just over 39 percent of which is sodium3, 4). The rest is man-made chemicals, such as moisture absorbents and flow agents, such as ferrocyanide and aluminosilicate.
  • Besides the basic differences in nutritional content, the processing—which involves drying the salt above 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit—also radically and detrimentally alters the chemical structure of the salt

Appropriate vs. Inappropriate Salt Restriction

In the United States and many other developed countries, salt has been vilified as a primary cause of high blood pressure and heart disease. According to research presented at last year’s American Heart Association meeting,5 excessive salt consumption contributed to 2.3 million heart-related deaths worldwide in 2010.
However, it’s important to realize that most Americans and other Westerners get the majority of their sodium from commercially available table salt and processed foods—not from natural unprocessed salt.
This is likely to have a significant bearing on the health value of salt, just as dangerous trans fats in processed foods turned out to be responsible for the adverse health effects previously (and wrongfully) blamed on healthy saturated fats.
Current dietary guidelines in the US recommend limiting your salt intake to anywhere from 1.5 to 2.4 grams of sodium per day, depending on which organization you ask. The American Heart Association suggests a 1.5 gram limit.
For a frame of reference, one teaspoon of regular table salt contains about 2.3 grams of sodium.6 According to some estimates, Americans get roughly four grams of sodium per day, which has long been thought to be too much for heart health.
But recent research, which has been widely publicized,7, 8, 9, 10, 11 suggests that too little salt in your diet may be just as hazardous as too much.  Moreover, the balance between sodium and potassium may be a deciding factor in whether your salt consumption will ultimately be harmful or helpful.

Too Little Salt Raises Heart Risks Too, Researchers Find

One four-year long observational study (the Prospective Urban Rural Epidemiology (PURE) study), which included more than 100,000 people in 17 countries, found that while higher sodium levels correlate with an increased risk for high blood pressure, potassium helps offset sodium’s adverse effects.
The results were published in two articles: "Association of Urinary Sodium and Potassium Excretion with Blood Pressure"12 and "Urinary Sodium and Potassium Excretion, Mortality, and Cardiovascular Events."13
I’ve discussed the importance of getting these two nutrients—sodium and potassium—in the appropriate ratios before, and I’ll review it again in just a moment.
In this study, those with the lowest risk for heart problems or death from any cause were consuming three to six grams of sodium a day—far more than US daily recommended limits.
Not only did more than six grams of sodium a day raise the risk for heart disease, so did levels lower than three grams per day. In short, while there is a relationship between sodium and blood pressure, it’s not a linear relationship.14 As noted by the Associated Press:15
"‘These are now the best data available,’ Dr. Brian Strom said of the new study. Strom, the chancellor of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, led an Institute of Medicine panel last year that found little evidence to support very low sodium levels.
"‘Too-high sodium is bad. Too low also may be bad, and sodium isn't the whole story,’ Strom said. ‘People should go for moderation.’
The authors propose an alternative approach; instead of recommending aggressive sodium reduction across the board, it might be wiser to recommend high-quality diets rich in potassium instead. This, they surmise, might achieve greater public health benefits, including blood-pressure reduction.
As noted by one of the researchers, Dr. Martin O'Donnell16 of McMaster University, “Potatoes, bananas, avocados, leafy greens, nuts, apricots, salmon, and mushrooms are high in potassium, and it's easier for people to add things to their diet than to take away something like salt.”

Forbidden Secrets of the Labyrinth - Mark Flynn

Let me just say it from the beginning—Mark Flynn’s new book Forbidden Secrets Of The Labyrinth: The Awakened Ones, The Hidden Destiny Of America, And The Day After Tomorrow uncovers a colossal secret I missed when writing Zenith 2016. And no other of the celebrated investigators of the Hidden Occult Agenda in DC have been aware of this before now, either.
          For me, it all began on a business trip to DC a few years back when I met with two members of the Scottish Rite Freemasonry (whose names I cannot reveal), who have unrestricted access to the most secret and highest guarded documents of the Order. I joined one of them at The House of the Temple, the headquarters of the Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, where the Supreme Council, 33rd Degree, have their meetings, and the other at the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Virginia.
          While both men were very helpful and informative, they were more than evasive whenever I probed too deeply into certain areas. I suppose this is not surprising, given that Masons are sworn to secrecy under blood oaths of horrific repercussion, including having their throats slit, eyeballs pierced, tongues torn out, feet flayed, bodies hacked into pieces, and so on if they give up the wrong information. Perhaps this is why at one point, one of the men I conferred with became visibly nervous as soon as I started asking specific questions about Masonic religious practices, which would include secret rituals that are performed in the Temple Room on the third floor at the House of the Temple, and the hidden meaning behind the name of their deity—the Great Architect of the Universe.
What most in the public do not understand is that, in spite of denial by some Masons, theirs is a religious institution with rituals and even prophetic beliefs concerning a human-transforming final world order, founded on and maintained by dozens of doctrines that can be defined by what “Masonry’s greatest philosopher,” Manly P. Hall, in The Lost Keys of Freemasonry,[i] called “the principles of mysticism and the occult rites.” The reason lower-degree Masons would deny this is because the Masters of the Craft intentionally mislead them. Speaking of the first three degrees of Freemasonry, Albert Pike admitted (in one of the many books we are giving away free with the release of Forbidden Secrets of the Labyrinth on September 16 [click ad at the top of this page for more info and be sure to sign up to be notified when the giveaway starts]), Morals & Dogma:
 
The Blue Degrees are but the outer court or portico of the Temple. Part of the symbols are displayed there to the initiate, but he is intentionally misled by false interpretations. It is not intended that he shall understand them; but it is intended that he shall imagine he understands them. Their true explication is reserved for the Adepts, the Princes of Masonry.… It is well enough for the mass of those called Masons to imagine that all is contained in the Blue Degrees; and whoso attempts to undeceive them will labor in vain, and without any true reward violate his obligations as an Adept.[ii]
At these lower degrees, most members of Freemasonry belong to what is maintained as a fraternal organization that simply requires belief in a “Supreme Being” while avoiding discussion of politics and religion in the lodge, using metaphors of stonemasons building Solomon’s temple to convey what they publicly describe as “a system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols.” I’ve known several of these type Masons, all of whom were sincere members of society who worked together in a brotherhood for common benefit and to pool resources for charitable goals. None of these lower-degree Masons with whom I have been acquainted would ever, insofar as I know, participate in a conspiracy toward a global world order in which people will be politically and spiritually enslaved. But as one former Freemason friend told me, “This is the veneer of the lower degrees that exists on the Order’s public face. What is happening with at least some of the members at the 33rd level, or among the York Rite Knights Templar and the Shriners, is another matter altogether. When I was part of the brotherhood,” he continued, “I watched as specific members with the correct disposition and ideology were identified, separated, groomed, and initiated into the higher degrees for reasons you would find corresponding with the goals of a New World Order.”
Famous Freemason Foster Bailey once described how the Masons not included among this elite are unaware of an “Illuminati” presence among Master Masons, who in turn are the guardians of a secret “Plan”:
 
Little as it may be realised by the unthinking Mason who is interested only in the outer aspects of the Craft work, the whole fabric of Masonry may be regarded as an externalisation of that inner spiritual group whose members, down the ages, have been the Custodians of the Plan.… These Master Masons, to whom TGAOTU [The Great Architect of the Universe] has given the design and Who are familiar with the tracing board of the G.M. [Grand Master] on high, are…sometimes known as the Illuminati and can direct the searchlight of truth wherever its beams are needed to guide the pilgrim on his way. They are the Rishis of the oriental philosophy, the Builders of the occult tradition.”[iii]
Part of the carefully guarded Illuminati “Plan” Bailey referred to involves the need for each Mason to navigate the meaning behind the various rituals in order to discover the secret doctrine of Masonry involving the true identity of deity and what this means now and for the future (which, as readers will learn below, is reflected in the prophecy of the Great Seal of the United States). Manly Hall, who rightly called the Great Seal “the signature” of that exalted body of Masons who designed America for a “peculiar and particular purpose,” described these two kinds of Masons as members of a “fraternity within a fraternity,” the elect of which are dedicated to a mysterious arcanum arcandrum (a “sacred secret”) unknown to the rest of the Order:
 
Freemasonry is a fraternity within a fraternity—an outer organization concealing an inner brotherhood of the elect.
            …it is necessary to establish the existence of these two separate yet independent orders, the one visible and the other invisible.
            The visible society is a splendid camaraderie of “free and accepted” men enjoined to devote themselves to ethical, educational, fraternal, patriotic, and humanitarian concerns.
            The invisible society is a secret and most august fraternity whose members are dedicated to the service of a mysterious arcanum arcandrum.
            Those brethren who have essayed to write the history of their craft have not included in their disquisitions the story of that truly secret inner society which is to the body Freemasonic what the heart is to the body human.
            In each generation only a few are accepted into the inner sanctuary of the work…the great initiate-philosophers of Freemasonry are…masters of that secret doctrine which forms the invisible foundation of every great theological and rational institution.[iv]
Among dedicatories to those who support this “invisible” secret doctrine, there is a memorial alcove in the heart of the House of the Temple called the “Pillars of Charity.” Here, between two vaults on either side—one containing the exhumed remains of former Sovereign Grand Commander Albert Pike and the other containing Sovereign Grand Commander John Henry Cowles, marked by busts of each man on marble pedestals—a stained-glass window depicts the all-seeing eye above the words “Fiat Lux” emitting thirty-three beams of light downward onto the phrase “ordo ab chao” from ancient craft Masonic doctrine, “order out of chaos.”
In between meetings with the anonymous Masons who met with me during research for my invetigative book Zenith 2016 (also free with the release of Forbidden Secrets of the Labyrinth on September 16), I stepped into this shrine and read the names of those who are hallowed there on reflective golden inscriptions for contributing at least one million dollars to advance the cause of Scottish Rite Freemasonry, including the George Bush family, whose work to initiate the New World Order is universally understood.
At the House of the Temple, like elsewhere, “The Brotherhood of Darkness” (as my friend Dr. Stanley Monteith calls it) intentionally hides in plain sight the occult aspirations of universalism, which ultimately will be conceived in a one-world order and one-world religion under the son of Lucifer—Apollo/Osiris/Nimrod—or, as Manly Hall put it:
 
The outcome of the “secret destiny” is a World Order ruled by a King with supernatural powers. This King was descended of a divine race; that is, he belonged to the Order of the Illumined for those who come to a state of wisdom then belong to a family of heroes-perfected human beings.[v]
When Hall offered this astonishingly perceptive commentary about the future Masonic “King” who is “descended of a divine race” of “Illumined” (luciferic) “heroes-perfected” (half-man, half-god) human beings, he nailed exactly what the Watchers had done, and what the Cumaean Sibyl’s prophecy on the Great Seal of the United States says will occur concerning the coming of Apollo/Osiris/Nimrod.
Have the keepers of the secret destiny of America also hidden in public view the timing of their king’s arrival? We believe they did, and that the entire prophecy—who, what, when, and where—is openly encoded within two Masonic artifacts: the national cipher known as the Great Seal of the United States, and the “key” we shall for the moment call the Lost Symbol. The means to understanding when the novus ordo seclorum shall enthrone its Apollonian leader may have also been known by Hall, as he correctly noted that the “unfinished pyramid” upon the seal’s reverse side is the “trestleboard setting forth symbolically the task to the accomplishment of which the United States Government was dedicated from the day of its inception.”[vi]
